How do I increase the speed

I want to increase the speed of the steps and the song together, so the whole thing is 2x faster or 3x faster, ect. Not just the steps or just the music. How do I do it?

It depends on whether you use the SM editor, XStep, or Notepad (or something else). What are you using to make simfiles? For XStep it should be pretty self-explanitory (sp?).
