Default DDR/ITG2 Canada Tournament !? (Eastern Canada FFR meetup)

I apologise if this should belong in the gaming section, but this is an interesting announcement for Canadian ITG2/DDR players (mainly ITG2) that shouldn't go unnoticed. What's so special about it? If I'm not mistaken, it's the first legit ITG tournament in Canada (correct me if I'm wrong).

There's going to be an outdoor tournament in Ottawa with 8 different events.

You can read more about it here (scroll down for more rules):
http://www.ddrcanada.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1228

Here is a sample flier for the tournament:
http://img312.echo.cx/img312/8981/mi...erfinal5kn.jpg

The different events you can sign up for:

- DDR Standard
- DDR Middle-weight (people that are too good for standard, but not good enough to compete with hardcore players)
- DDR Heavy
- ITG2 Medium/Hard
- ITG2 Hard/Expert
- ITG2 Battle
- ITG2 Survivor
- Freestyle (DDR extreme and ITG2 available)
- Doubles (Most likely on DDR)

Making a total of 9 possible things to enter.

P.S. - I'm going to be there. :O

Edit: http://www.midwayfunpark.com/map.htm This is the directions to Midway.

Edit #2: I was also thinking about making this a FFR easern Canada meet-up considering Ottawa is in the center of Toronto and Montreal. It would be perfect because there's another motive to coming to Ottawa rather than meet some random person on the internet.

This should stay here. Almost nobody goes to the DDR Forum.

Anyway, I'm not going, Ottawa is toooo far.

EDIT: err Robby it says some place called 'midway'. no clue where that is though. somebody google it.

I don't like Ontario/Ottawa residents, so ignorant.

EDIT: Midway is probably the building it's being held at, there is no town called Midway :P

I never said it was. Place as in location somewhere in ottawa. I have an uncle living in Ottawa, but I doubt my parents would let me go that far across the country alone. Calgary is the farthest distance I've ever gone away from Regina alone.

Ah it's an amusement park eh? I'm sure my aunt and uncle know of it. Still doubt I'd be able to go.

I was wondering that too. Sandbagging is when you join standard just to win or being far to skillful for the level you went in.

We can tell easily. 4 midway tournaments ago someone won by sandbagging in standard and we were way too leniant.

Bascially if someone starts SDG'ing and AAA'ing standard songs then it's easily noticed.

I thought I'd never see the day when a Quebec'er makes such a hypocritical remark. Oh wait, yes I did. After all it's what they base their province on.

I learnt the other day if you yell bread really loud in french, people take offense to it WTF. It's like..pronounced osti, no clue how it's spelt.

ONTOPIC - Yung talked to her uncle and he offered to let her stay at his place during the time. Now it's just a matter of wether or not I can get there =\

You got it right, osti is supposed to be short for "hostie" which means the host from the Catholic religion. Quebec swear words are notorious for making religious terms offensive (i.e. - tabarnak, sacrament, câlisse, etc.).

Anyways, hope you can make it.
