Default Does a faster arrow speed make the song easier?

I find 3x easier to complete on a song then 1x. Just want to here some people's opinions on this.

Depends on the BPM......I like using a multiplier to fix the avg BPM between 200 and 300.

I don't like using C modifiers because then that eliminates BPM changes.

C300 rocks!! There's a lot of songs with useless pauses and slow-downs so this really helps!!

Speed mods make songs a million times easier. Sadly, I use them so much that I can't even play songs on 300 bpm anymore... I need them faster. Max300, Unlimited, Sakura, Paranoia Survivor...all on 1.5x

They arn't speed mods Mesia o_O

Speed mods increase the bpm. You have to change the music speed. Those just increase the speed the arrows cross the screen.

I only use.....C300 on sakura o-o i usually use 3x.....if its under 120 bpm ill use 5x.....if its over 195 bpm i'll use 2x. anything around 300 bpm needs 1.5x. Anything below 85-90 bpm usually needs 8x.

Where I'm from, we call any mod that changes the speed of the arrows a "speed mod".

Reach, "speed mods" is a DDR term carried over into SM......they don't have music speed modifiers in DDR

i think that multipliers help only on certain songs, like the invader zim theme i couldnt pass it because the steps were crammed together..icouldnt tell what they were until i sped it up to 2x.

Depends on how you like to play.

Like chardish said, you can't really see bpm changes and stops using a c-mod. But, it can get difficult trying to figure out if you should use 1.5x or 2x or 3x or whatever to get the song close to what you like. And even then, it probably won't be exactly right for you.

Those are the disadvantages of each, though I guess "disadvantage" is relative, since that's what we're talking about in this thread.

As far as advantages, I like using my C550 mod because for some reason I need the arrows to fly up ridiculously fast otherwise I can't follow the beat. The only other thing I can think of is that using a cmod makes it easier to get better at the game, or at least it made it easier for me.

Experiment! No one can tell you how you'll play the game best.

PS: this was before people knew how to change cmods. that's why c300 was the only mod they used.
C700-900 ftw
