Default A cure for cancer?

I am on a Rastafarian forum and Rastafarians are against most western medical practices. Someone posted a website (www.1cure4cancer.com) which says that there is a Vitamin called Vitamin B-17 which kills cancer cells, as well as prevents them from ever forming.
I need to do some more researching, but this is a serious topic. You might think "If there's a cure, they'd use it." But then there's this question: Why did the government BAN a vitamin? That doesn't make any since. They'd rather have your money from Chemo, even though the answer could be in the seeds of apricots.

I'm not one for "Anarchy" but I wish there were a way for the world to get along without a "ruler."

Please read and reply.

First of all, you can't cure cancer. What the "vitamin" does is just reduce the amount of the reproduction of the cancerous cells. It doesn't stop the reproduction completely, but reduces it by a significant amount. Once you have cancer, you will always have cancer. Yes, you can go into recession which is when things are close to being normal, but you will always have cancer.

The "vitamin" has very bad sideaffects and is usually taken with other types of medications to help keep your system healthy.

Good show, you just wasted your time posting this and getting angry at the Government for nothing.
Hospitals are PRIVATELY OWNED. That means that the Government does NOT collect taxes for them. When you pay for Chemo Therapy, YOU DO NOT PAY THE GOVERNMENT. You pay the hospital. Plus if this B-17 is in apricot seeds like you're saying, then why wouldn't you eat them instead of going through Chemo?
You really shouldn't be posting in Critical Thinking, please, DO more researching on EVERYTHING.

This is kinda related to the topic: i was flipping through the channels and i went to like the discovery channel and they were talkng about a tree that has a serious affect (a good effect) on cancer but the cutting down of the rainforests are making it near impossible to get. i'd like to know more about it. if anyone knows anything about it please post.

Even better:

"Broccoli is one of the most powerful anti-cancer foods in the world: it contains phytochemicals so effective that if drug companies could patent them, they'd charge consumers a hundred dollars a pill for the same thing you get from a serving of broccoli.

Cauliflower, too, is a powerful cancer fighter. The truth is, cancer is almost entirely preventable through food choice and physical exercise alone. Nature has provided an abundance of healing foods that can prevent and reverse chronic disease, including cancer, diabetes, heart disease and more.

Well, once a war comes along that's neither political, nor "ecomonimal [sic]", then you'll be ready to sign up, I guess.

A war without economic causes ... like a thumb war maybe?

And a war that isn't politically motivated, like ...

Wait, that doesn't make sense.

Thats what i was just thinking.
Since i was little, my mom freaked out about family history.
My mom's side of the family, had only died from liver cancer... and other kinds of cancer that the places i don't recall.
She started putting broccoli in anyway she can, and make me eat it.
Yes she even made it look like a kind of ice-cream so i would eat it.
Thats how i got used to eat broccoli, and thats how i understand, it's that important to eat broccoli.

My grandma tried all the vitamins she could reach to, just to ease her cancer, and nothing worked. Sadly, she died 3 and a half years ago, following my grandpa.. last year.

Like what NightSonnett said, once you have cancer, you will always have cancer.

The cure for cancer has not been found. So eat your broccoli and get many vitamines to help prevent deseases such as cancer and what not. The end.

I'd rather die of cancer than eat broccoli...Plus, my girlfriend is appreciative that I don't eat it either.

Vitamins are good. Do what Mickey's Grandma did and eat any you can get your hands on.

Be like Popeye. Eat brocolli. You'll forget how bad it tastes like 3 minutes after you eat it anyways.

Popeye eats Spinach you moron.

Cancer is a bad thing, luckily, there isn't much history of it in my family. While vegetables taste bad, I guess we should eat them.
