Metroid Series
Hey, what do you think of the Metroid Series? Which one is your favorite? Which one is your least fave?
Personally, I think that Metroid Fusion is the worst. They changed the suit and they switched the weapons around. I thought that they should not the Spazer beam. And lost the ability to switch weapons at bay. I think that Super Metroid is the best. but that's just me.

Fusion was sprite based, man. You must be thinking Metroid: Prime.
I didn't care for the NES one, or rather... I can't stand playing it now. It's not fun anymore. Fusion was incredibly linear (all of the games are to an extent, but this one is especially so) and you get stuck a lot. Prime was fun, but I got really bored with it about 3/4ths of the way through. Metroid 2 gets major bonus points for me for having so much to do and was the least linear Metroid game (as in, you do do what you want when you want, and it's not I got this item, I can now backtrack all the way yo here to go this way to get this item to go here, etc etc.) But Super Metroid offered me the most fun out of them all.

They all are great games. I voted Super Metoid cause I can hardly play my NES games. Stupid thing either doesn't start or crashes.

I seriously hate the way a new wave of uber-sequels are coming out, yet most of them suck hard. Super Metroid is teh pwn, you can't say different becasue SM was the one of the hardest, one of the most detailed, and one of the most fucking confusing SNES game I've played...

Hardest w/o a doubt was the original Metroid. Not so many energy tanks, enemies took a shitload of damage, and the boss battles were too much. My fav of all time.

I personally do not enjoy dying 3,923 times in a game until I get everything in pixel perfect timing to pass to the next area, and having to reload/re-password each time I die.
Of course, I'm talking about the original Metroid. There were necessary and compulsory items hidden -too- well in that game. Not to mention the overdosed difficulty of it all. Considering I haven't played II, Fusion, or Prime, I'll have to vote Super Metroid, that one was both fun and impressive! |

The only one I can remember playing is prime, which was fun, but easy... I beat it on hard like 2 days after it came out (Without a guide).

The only real hard games were metroid 1 and 2. Prime is considerably hard on hard mode since it took a shit load of hits to kill a boss and those fission metroids were a pain in the ass.

Super Metroid is the best. I got it the day it came out in America, also scoring a very rare signed poster of Samus Aran (signed by the artist). Number 1317 out of 2000. Would probably fetch a fair sum on eBay.
