My (Actiony?) Celtic Battle

To sum up this video of mine, it's a 'celtic battle' that my two friends and I did in a hail storm one day when we were uber bored... This is totally and completely unscripted (and it shows)...

This video took me about 6+ hours to edit, and I did it all in one sitting, so I'm pretty proud of this video...

I've gotten A LOT of good feeback from this video, so hopefully all of you will like it as well... I would like to warn you though that this video is the second version, because the 1st one was 5:20 and 10,360 KB (which is too big for putfile) so I shortened it by cutting out some of the commentary at the end, and speeding up the commentary sections to 120%, so our voices will sound kinda like chipmunks... I don't know if this will make the video better or degrade from it, but hopefully all of you will like it overall...

I also warn you that it is 4:59 long, and at 9,780 KB (I wanted this file to be bigger, and not 5MB, cuz I wanted to try to keep as high of quality as possible, so this WILL take a scootch to download... I think it is worth the wait (you can always open a new window and do stuff while it's loading, right? eh? EH!?)

This was in DIRE need of directing.
No seriously, you should have planned out the backdrop and arrangement of objects a bit better, and used some camera angles and crap.

Example - using low angles to make one of the characters look superior, or high angles to make them look inferior.. you know, things like that. It helps set the mood. It's all flat angle which is boring. But, for an amateur film nice job.

I like how the music has no purpose and how you added no sound effects.
I also like how incredibly stupid it is.

It's funny that you mention sound effects, because I was thinking that I should probably add some light sounding sword clanking and sheathing, etc etc...

Feedback like this is good though, because I'm going to submit this video for oscar night at our high school, and 1000+ kids will be seeing it, so I need to make sure I can perfect this video as much as possible...

By the way... Like I said, this was all just out of sheer boredom and all of it was unscripted... And stupidity is the goal I was trying to reach... I'm glad I reached my goal...

About angles and such... I know... I took video 1 & 2, etc etc... Josh, Jess, and I were talking about doing a sequel, but then it quickly kind of changed topics, and we figure we're going to do a final fantasy spoof... Who knows when that will be done... It'll be better by 10-fold compared to this video...

Seriously though, there's plenty of angles you can use. Write out a story, and maybe include what type of angle to use during that part of the story.

Unscripted, and more or less on the spot videos are NEVER good.

Storyboarding... ~shudders~... I HATE storyboarding... But we are currently storyboarding the final fantasy spoof and the jackass spoof... I also storyboarded the bananaphone video I shot, editing is ALMOST complete...

I really couldn't think of any music to use, and everytime I thought of battle music, I kept humming that song in my head, so yeah, I used it... Meh...

Dude this movie totally reminds me of this original plot that me MM and Kamoa had. We were like 9 at the time so the ideas are almost as childish as that video made by Arch. Well there was this one guy named Capt. Rescue(MM) and i was the dark warrior person..I think. Then Kamoa capt. rescue's sidekick. The plot thickens by me being accused as a serial killer and then basically me mm and kamoa joined up and killed the bad dude played by kamoa lil brother. It was waay too old and waay to confusing to go through. PM me and I'll try to think about it.

My first reaction was to say "What the f uck is this s hit?"

But then I remembered I hate cussing.

There was no point and it was stupid and there was no battling and there was no celticness and run-on sentence.

Needed less suck.

More sound.

More violent death/beatings.

Fire, and explosions.

And the music was out of place.

And the camera work was bad. :P

That was the worst movie shit I have ever seen.....
WTF WERE YOU THINKING...

theres nothing to it. I'm crying just thinking about how bad it was. The only thing you could of been going for was one of those movies that was so bad it was funny but this took it one step BEYOND THAT.

All it is, is a bunch of 12 year olds waving sticks around pretending your star wars characters.

I'm sad for you.
