MSN Minesweeper Flags

An 85% winning percentage is HUGE. I've looked for people who were skilled on the net, like in MSN groups and the highest guy had my percentage but under 100 wins.

I play a variety of people too. I've played Anuj, Cyanotic, evilpeer, Snapps, Tasselfoot, Nima, LD, and sweatervest. I've played friends from IGN too.

A friend from IGN still beats me like 25% of the time, but he doesn't make any mistake, except for one: uncovering areas. He doesn't do it often, but he doesn't know how to avoid them. His playing style is rather risky and can often beat me some nights.

It's too bad MSN games have a huge lag when I'm at college, otherwise I'd play more. Also if you don't play for around 4 months straight or so, it erases your record (could be anywhere from 3-6.. not sure).

My record in the beginning was 22-16 but then I figured out a few things myself and then went on huge win streaks.

That's a fun game actually, but when you know all the tricks (like where the mines are on a 122 pattern, or how not to open big spaces except for the beggining), it all just boils down to luck and using the bomb well... I'm sure if I played you I could beat you more than 25% of the times =P

Still, that's a lot of games and a good win %, congratz

I'm not bad (even though I lost to Snapps the other day, just because I forgot about the bomb :P). It was like 26-24.

No... that's crap. You're playing people who don't know how to play. No matter how good you are, the tops would be 90% winning if you're playing average skilled people. That's TOPS... meaning you start off really skilled and get a little lucky.

Linus is really good, but I still went 4-1 against him.

Update on my record: 234-40... so 34-5 since the start of this thread, which is just over 87%.

One game I could have prevented a loss but I just wasn't thinking and not even into the game.. lol... Another I accidently bombed when I didn't want to (was trying to click off it) and it gave my friend an easy win. A few other games absolutely nothing was going my way (missing most of the 50/50s) while the person who I was playing against was hitting most of them.

But also one game I did an amazing comeback without the use of a bomb, because early on I decided to use mine for the hell of it. I had to time it right so my friend couldn't use his. I won 26-25. O_O
