well i've been bored with 4 finger spread setup ghkl index and middle on each hand, so i decided maybe i should start playing index...
I never really was very good with MA on 4 finger but here are some random scores i can find Sepia - 43p AAA Air (reach's) - 89p AAA War Game - 10p AAA (lol) Fury of the storm - almost AA Speedcore dandy - Almost AA, 10 or so CB Since 1983 heavy - 155/18 AA Now changing to index, my advice im asking for is do you think it's even worth my time trying to go to index - Act is after 20 minutes or so then all the rest right after each other, adding to the post as i do them *All first try* - Until I can pretty much FC these i know my MA will be shit so i wont even bother posting it - on delerium it was like 170 :X *Most from the keyboard megapack since i cant do much other crap* A - High A Delerium - extremely close to AA Absolute - High A Act - AA, 6 CB Dogura - AA FC 85/5 Era - A 130/50/10 CB G2 - High A 120/40 some CB Gravity (LOL) - low B K8017 - Semi bad B Paranoia BC - 100/30/4/1/4 Ill stop at Quasar for now - 130/29/20CB (just plain stopped once because i got confused) |

If you don't want THAT big of a change you could always try 3 finger. I find it to be a nice middleground between index and 4 finger.

ghkl isn't really spread.. they are really close together. Anyways, just try streamy stepfiles to get used to switching finger positions and stuff.. it isn't that hard.

I don't really get how people play 4 fingers. I try playing spread (asl
every once in a while and I can barely get an A on quasar. I like index a lot more.

It's not difficult. Just switch over. I was AAAing 10s on my first day switching (see my topic). And I'm not even that great....x_x

The trick is when you switch NOT to stop playing because you get a terrible score on some song. The first day i played spread I got a C on quasar and couldn't pass Dokudenpa, but within a week and a half i was beating my old 3finger scores. Just play stuff that is confusing to you and eventually you'll figure out how to hit the patterns.
But it takes time. Don't just give up. As to whether you should switch or not...well, it's much harder to get good scores on index. But I find that index on some songs can be extremely fun, simply becuase of the challenging patterns it can throw at you sometimes. I find index to be much less accurate, as well. Index isn't my primary style anyways...switch to index if you want more of a challenge on certain songs (but others will be far less fun, i think).
