Best game series

In my opinion Final Fantasy is easily the best series ever made (FFVII being the best) now there will be people who disagree and people who agree... so what do you think is the best series?

I don't play many "series" games. Zelda and Mario aren't technically a series, I guess.

I've only managed to play / see 3 Tales games so far but from what I've seen, it's going to be awesome until they run out of ideas over there at Namco.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater/Tony Hawk's Underground.

Each subsequent game is better than the last. Well, sort of. Each subsequent game is definitely an improvement in some way of the previous game, though.

Playas throw the W's in the air.. GT is way too sick, and I don't really like racing games.

Woah woah woah hold up. If GT and Tony Hawk are in then Mario and Zelda sure as hell better be in. (Oh and for the Mario series I'm including NBA street v3 for some "odd" reasons)

I dont think you can just say BEST GAME SERIES EVER, I think you have to divide it into consuls or generations. Like X-box, GameCube, PS2, PC, and then Retro (Refering to anything no on these consuls. for X-box its definatly Halo, PS2 is the hardes but id probably say GTA, the Gamecube would be Metroid, and the PC would probably be HL.

If you want a good arcade series I heard of a game called Dance Dance revolution that might be pretty good.

Its a bit of a dancing game where you actually have to move and get truly engaged in the game. Each new mix has more songs than the last and they have many modes of gameplay including multiple difficulty levels and new ways to play like using 2 sets of arrows instead of one and going through multiple songs without stopping.

Maybe someone on this site may have heard of it, this series used to be the biggest fad in Japan. It might just appear on American soil someday so that we may all enjoy the fun.

Im kinda amazed that everyone here isnt saying DDR or any other Bemani games. I mean i expected it on this kind of site.

and in order starting with the best...
1. Final fantasy (i cant wait for advent children)
2. Zelda (cant wait for the new one on GC)
3. Mario (sunshine was a disappointment)

GT Series = Gran Turismo Series. You must not be able to interpret abrrieviations(sp?).
