This is no organized event.. I think most people are realizing that we all play too much SM and it's just time to quit once and for all =)
I have a girlfriend now, and a lot of more social events going on in my life. School, too.

My personal opinion.

If stepmania is really killing your life so much, then just don't play it so much. People say they have the ability to just stop playing games, but then they should also have the ability to just play when they feel like it. I don't even play sm until all my homework/studying is finished. Also, everyone is just like "GAWD ITS JUS A GAME WHER U USE FINGERZ AND STUFF TO HIT ARROWZ AND STUFF GEEZ!1!" So? Football is just a game where you kick a ball and stuff. Baseball is just a game where you hit a ball and run and stuff. You can make anything sound bad by simplifying it.

It isn't killing my life.. it's just something I can avoid doing to free up some time. It's something I don't really want to do anymore, nor do I need it so.. it works out to be a quit =)

What? I have social occasions on a daily basis, pep band/jazz band/normal band things about 2 hours a day (including weekends), clubs, tournaments, online classes along with my normal classes and a girlfriend and I have no problem whatsoever fitting SM in. It takes what? 2 minutes a game?

EDIT: Eh, your second reason is a bit better, didn't see it, but still =p.

I said it's something I don't really want or need. I could easily fit it in too - but overall it's just not worth it, even if it is just a couple minutes a game.
