Well, I'm glad it's a football game again

Whether you like the Eagles or not, any football fan should be happy that they are in it.

Why?

Because the fans have gone absolutely nuts. In the past, the Superbowl has been a spectacle for corporations and big name companies. But this year SHOULD be different. All of the fans have gone absolutely insane over their football team. Usually, the fans in the Superbowl are neutral, but this year you know that it will be pro-Eagles. There are 2000+ Eagles fans down there, just from Philadelphia. They're all already drunk, singing the fight and TO song over and over again. So you can only imagine how LOUD it will be in the stadium.

I really feel that this year the Superbowl will be different. It will be more for the team instead of the halftime wardrobe malfunction spectacle. And even if you despise the Eagles, I think it's something to be grateful for.

Comments, anyone?

It's a great story, but I would sympathize with them more if I wasn't a Red Sox fan.

They've only been second-best for 3 years, and to three different teams to boot. They don't know the pain of being second-best to only one team for a period of time longer than the average human lifespan.

Of course, I might be biased that the Eagles are drawing attention away from the Patriots, and that the Patriots will likely be looked at as bad (almost "evil") if they win. >_>

I do sympathize with the Red Sox, and thought it was great that they finally won. But I really hope the Eagles beat the living shit out of NE. Not only am I a die hard fan, but you know that NE does not care much for football. They love their Sox, and there are only oh so many true Patriots fans out there. Honestly, I think we deserve it more. But that may be a bit of a biased comment.

Hey! That was at a 76ers game Kilga. And, they deserved it! (It was Santa night or something, there were 1000+ people dressed as Santa, and they got booed).

Plus, Hans... does this really suprise you? You're from Jersey (South, I'll assume, as you're an Eagles fan not a Giants fan). You should know the mentality of our great city by now. It has been more than my lifetime (1983) since a Philly team last won a championship. The 83 Phillies, the 93 Phillies, the 96 Flyers, the 00 Sixers, etc. Our city is built on heartbreak and close calls, of should have beens and could have beens and what might have beens. We NEED this championship. Boston can complain all they want, but they've had other sports teams win. The Celtics are THE basketball team of all time. The Pats are in their 5th SB with 2 previous wins. Even the Bruins have had their years. Philly was good in the 70s and early 80s, and that is it. We suck at sports as a city, but damn do we have heart.

So, believe me... I will be going as nuts as anyone else in this city if we win tomorrow, and I'll be as heartbroken and downtrodden as anyone else if we lose.

So... Fly Eagles fly! On the road to victory! E - A - G - L - E - S EAGLES!

I really wish that the Eagles would win, but lets face the cold hard truth, the Patriots are going to win because they beat the Rams in the superbowl. HOW?!?!

The same way they always beat the Colts.

The 2001 Rams' strength was in their passing game. New England is excellent at disrupting recieving routes at the line of scrimmage (where contact is still legal), and they have a good secondary for coverage as well. So they took away the Rams' best weapon, and you're not going to win a Super Bowl with Saint Louis' defense by running Marshall Faulk the whole time.

I really think it's being taken too far. Whichever team wins will win because of skill and not because of how many fans are down at the stadium. Obviously the Patriots have more things going for them when it comes to how good they are, but you never know.

I think i'm the only jets fan who wants the pats to win. The only reason I want the pats to win, is becuase they are going to win(if that makes any sense). The patriots are a better team overall, in all categories(with the arguement of WR), and are a far more discipline\executing team then the eagles. All this"they deserve and why us" complaints are bogus. When was the last time the jets won a superbowl? It was superbowl 3, 1969, 35 friggen years, so they deserve it. All the other new york teams have, Buffallo, well almost

, Yankees, Giants, the jets are the black sheep of new york.
