Default Final Episode of the Dragon Ball Dynasty

Yes people, for those who have been following Dragonball GT on Toonami, the final episode of the entire Dragonball Saga ends this Saturday. I know GT was not popular and I don't like Dragonball that much anyway but, I am glad that the entire three show series: Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT are finally ending. Im just sad that they are ending.

I can't help but feel sad that I'm losing a major staple of my anime diet when I was a little kid, now that I am in my teens. As the final episode, "Until We Meet Again" plays this Saturday, I will be the first to tell you that I will probably cry or at least tear-up.

The DB show has faced much critiscism for it poor dubbing but in the end, we all grew up to love this show. I know I did. So this is my final goodbye to the "greatest action anime ever made." Goodbye Goku, Vegeta, Chichi, Master Roshi, King Kai, Trunks, Gohan, Videl, Mr. Satan. Goten, and others. You are the reason I watch anime now.

So does anyone have any other comments to add?

I read the spoilers before the Baby saga had even come close to resolving (back when those episodes were new to CN) so I've been waiting for this for quite a while just to see what it's like.

The last battle was rather anti-climactic, if you ask me. A one-episode out-of-the-blue kill? Bah.

Look at my avatar and take a guess.

Seriously though, I started watching GT and then they started showing some reruns and I just forgot to continue watching.
I'll have to download the GT episodes, along with the original series which I never saw. (actually I did to a point then I couldn't find any more episodes )

If your talking about the Omega Shenron battle it wasn't just 1 episode. Killing him took like 8 episodes, still not very many compared to Buu, Cell and Frieza. (XD I do watch DBZ)

I'd say this was the first anime I ever watched, it was ok in my opinion and watched it usually when it was on.

I agree, if you remember back in the Frieza Saga on Dragonball Z, it took Goku 3 episodes to build enough energy, and he still didn't kill Frieza. Now remeber, Goku was pulling energy from all over the universe that time too.

So how did Goku do the same thing in 5 minutes and have enough energy to kill the most powerful villain in Dragonball History? Sounds a little cheap to me. But it's still a great series.

I've always liked DBZ, especially since it was my first real anime series. I thought it had good action and was worthwhile, even though the FUNimation dub was really bad. However, I'm much more of a fan of the movies than the series. Twelve and Thirteen were just awesome.

I remember starting watching before the Frieza episodes aired and stopped watching during the Cell saga because I saw the budokai, android, and cell sagas on CDs that my friend got. So, I never got into GT, and I won't be too sad to see them go since I lost interest in watching (due mainly to the fact that work would keep me until after DBZ was over on weekdays during high school).

EDIT: FUNimation did the dub, not Saban. What the hell was I thinking when I typed that?

GT was the final act of rape that Funimation shall do to the DBZ franchise. I'm glad that this abomination is over.

PS I love DBZ more than probably anyone, but I loathe Funimation for their piss-poor dub job. If I were given decent sound equipment, I could single-handedly do a better dub of DBZ. GT wasn't great to begin with (it was the product of Toei wanting to get more money out of the DB series). Funimation decided it would be a good idea to cut large portions of entire episodes out. The voices are fine, the script is just fucking terrible. If I ever find out the person at Funimation who decided to dub DBZ as a kiddie show, I will seriously stab them in the face with a baseball bat. Yes, I'll stab them with a baseball bat. Thank you for bearing with me on this rant, and I apologize for taking your time.

I'm just happy that I was able to watch every episode, American and non-American. Along with all the other stuff that goes with DB.

BTW, I know that DB AF isn't real, and that it is fan produced, but I think it would be cool if someone made it real. Just not FUNimation.

Unless you own the rights to the Dragon Ball series, then no, you cant.

There was a brief moment when I was into DBZ...but that was all.

But I would like to see the final episode...you know, kind of like how people will watch a execution...so that I know that it is finally over.

Yeah, sure it's over but how long do you think it's gonna be until CN is gonna stop showing it?
Just think about how many times they've showed the Cowboy Bebop series. Then think about
how many 7-12 year-olds watch DBZ more than Cowboy Bebop

Well, it came and went for the final episode. Yes, people I did end up crying when the credits were rolling. it was too sad to bear. But I'm glad the show is over. Now we have to wait for that damn Inuyasha to end.....
