To Hans- I win.
Family guy is an anime? waaah?

Well onto my list of favorites. *points to avatar* Yes I do admit that I'm a sailor moon fan. I also love Card Captor Sakura (and I read Tsubasa so obviously I like anything remotely CLAMP) Initial D was good...got boring after watching each ep 10+ times though. My best friend Sherry recently started downloading some anime called 'Bleach' so I've been watching quite a bit of that aswell...that's about it I think :S

Anyway, I don't watch anime. Whenever somebody mentions anime I think of characters with huge eyes, or retarded shows like DBZ.

DBZ really isn't THAT bad, but whoever got their hands on dubbing it really messed it up good. All they're doing is paying the voice actors to scream for 2/3 of each episode.

I've seen far too many. This is hard.

Listing the obvious...

FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Cardcaptor Sakura
Trigun (DUH.)
Excel Saga
Read or Die
Outlaw Star
Last Exile
Galaxy Angel (all of them.)

Oh, and Family Guy is NOT anime. Anime is short for "Japanese animation". Family guy is American animation.

Actaully, technically it is. Anime is just the Japanese word for cartoon, derived from Animation. Though, it does not come from Japan, thus is not considered an "Anime" by the american term.

Now for my list:

Neon Genesis Evangelion
FLCL
RahXephon
Cowboy Bebop

Those are the only ones worth mentioning.

Sailor Moon
DBZ(I'll explain this later)
FLCL
Inuyasha
Fullmetal Alchemist
Super Milk Chan (this counts, right?)
And probably a few others

Sailor Moon was my first anime I ever saw. I loved it before I even new what anime, or japanimation as it was more commonly referred to back then, was. DBZ came not much later. I first saw the dub, and liked it because I was stupid. Then I saw the original on International Channel and I lost all faith in Funimation. FLCL is obvious why I liked it. Inuyasha: I started watching when it first appeared on Adult Swim. I loved it. Fullmetal Alchemist: I've only seen the dub(which is by the same lame company that ruined DBZ so badly), and I still like it. That must mean something. Super Milk Chan is just insane and that's why I love it.

Isn't it funny that all those shows listed above have or are currently on Cartoon Network? The answer is no. Cartoon Network is awesome, and this is ample proof of it.

Seen too much anime, hard to pick :O

Off-hand though, I'd say :

Elfen Lied
Trigun
Escaflowne(teehee)
Rurouni Kenshin (OVA's moreso than the series)
Cowboy Bebop
Mahoromatic :>
SCRAPPED PRINCESS :OOOOO
and I guess I'll end with Fullmetal Alchemist.

What about Anime Movies?

Because in some cases the movies are almost as important as the series
Like Read Or Die, and Cowboy Bebop:Knocking on Heaven's Door

Since we have this forum, I'd like to make one thing VERY CLEAR.

READ OR DIE WAS NEVER A MOVIE.

I hate Cartoon Network for labeling it as such.

It is a three-episode OAV. The three 30-minute segments were put together and run all at the same time. It was not a movie.

Proof : http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...ime.php?id=819

If need be, this will be in its own topic. Maybe announcemented.

I saw Read or Die about a year an a half ago. It was alright...entertaining to saw the least...but I really dont see what the hype is surrounding it.
