Your thoughts on him?
All I have to say is that UHF was a fantastic comedy movie, and I hope he does another one some time. |

Clever man. My French teacher disagrees with me on this, but he's hella funny, too.

I find it offensive that he's making money off of something that everybody does. Seriously, who hasn't made up new lyrics to an existing song in order to make fun of something? I know I've done it, and I bet most everybody has. It kinda pisses me off that he's making all that money on something a lot of us could do, but that's the way life is.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Weird Al...good stuff. I'm pretty sure Albequerque is his best. Someone slap me if I spelled that as horribly wrong as I think I did.

His originals are his best songs. Honestly, I kinda hate the parodies. But if you'd ever heard Albuquerque, then you'd know that Weird Al is awesome.
On a related note, I saw him in concert about a year ago. He was so good.

Albuquerque. probably is his best.
His music is something you have to like in a phase. You really like the stuff for a few weeks, then it annoys the hell out of you for a few months. Repeat cycle. |

By the way, song parodies are legal. I read that in a music copyright thingy somewhere. Also, ANYTHING created by a person that has been dead for 70 (90?) years are no longer copyright material and are considered "free-use". No more copyrights can be added to it. So, if someone has a copyright on a Monet picture, tell them they are stupid. The same applies to a Beethoven or Mozart composition. ~Squeek |
