this may seem gay to post this in the brag board but its the only place (besides the garbage bin) i ever post anyway, im am getting really bored of index playing and want to start 4 fingered, i was messing around with it earlier tonight and B'd reality \,,/
i want to try to learn it, but i d/k

I suggest doing so. I mean... learn to do that, and you will also learn a lot more things in the songs. You'd also find different patterns and such, as well as, IMO, by playing 4 fingered, you'll increase your index level slightly. Just my views though.

Somebody should get a list of the different styles of playing so I know what exactly is what. Recommended set-ups would be good to include in that too.

no... you shouldn't start playing ONLY 4 finger but you should start learning other styles. There aren't enough players skilled in multiple styles.

You're limited index friendly. Go 3 fingers you will go faster than 4 fingers. IMO i've tried all the methoods. I found that using my index on my left hand and middle and ring finger on my right, helps greatly at speed.
