I hate Christmas.
Well, kids, it's that time of year again. Time for every dumbfuck in the United States to preach love and peace and define hypocrisy at the same time. Along with all of the hypocrites who really couldn't give a damn, there's also the religious fuckwads who think that Christmas actually has something to do with religion (it doesn't, as any history of Christmas will tell you) and have decided to pick this time of year to be particularly annoying. Then there are of course the people who take it upon themselves to act like fucking happy zombies, mindlessly smiling and performing acts of goodwill simply because "it's Christmas". If you're going to act like a moron, why don't you do it all year long, hypocrite?
Oh, and don't even get me started on the HORRIBLE music. All day long, that's all you hear on the radio. Christmas song after Christmas song, culminating in a horrible apocalypse of hideous noise that dares call itself music. Well, that's what I think will happen, anyway. Forget Exit Mundi's stuff - Christmas songs will destroy the earth. Oh, and all of the asinine decorations. I don't want a goddamn tree in the living room, and I don't want stupid lights all over the house. The only good things about it are presents and vacation. Everything else about Christmas can go to hell. Who shares my sentiments? |

I mostly agree, but I live near Kansas City, and the Kansas City Plaza (if you've heard of it) is absolutely awesome during Christmas. I go every year and it only gets better.

We go to florida like every single year and I'm sick of it there, and would much rather go to somewhere that isn't chock full of old people, like Washington or Arizona or something.

meh, i don't mind being happy and "hypocritical" once a year...why not do it all year long? because i don't want to.
if you dont believe in relgion or whatever, then make christmas about presents and vacation, don't listen to the radio, and don't put trees in your house. it's what you make it. trans-siberian orchestra is ok, i'd prefer just to listen to metallica play christmas songs...but either is ok.

Aside from the annoying Christmas songs, everything being sold out, and baby-Jesus-o-rama, I like Christmas. I like the lights, the vacation, the smell of wood burning fire places, etc. I like seeing my family (though I dont think I will being doing so this winter break).
However, I think the whole Christmas Tree thing is a very disgusting tradition. Millions of Trees across the country are cut down. I was at Home Depot the other day,picking up a "Living Christmas Tree," watching people pick out the "perfect tree." People were shaking the trees, spinning them around looking for bald spots, and if the tree didnt meet up to their standards, they toss it away. |

I hated Christmas music until the radio at work broke, and now we don't have to listen to the same CD on loop, so that makes things bearable.
I love Christmas. It's my chance to relax and see people I love who I haven't seen in a very long time, what with living far away and whatnot. |

The thing I hate most about Christmas is the stress. My dad soooooo stressed out and tries to make it all perfect and is annoying and makes us all want to stab him. Then he tries to make it better with friggin Amy Grant or whoever and her Christmas songs.
Seriously, if I was God, I would be sick and tired of all the praise the Christians give me. The music all sucks. Where's the Jesus tecno!? And worse than the terrible music about God is the terrible music about stuff that there's no way existed. Why listen to a song about Santa?! HE'S NOT REAL!! At least Jesus was, so I can bear religious songs, but I mean, seriously, there aren't elves at the North Pole. Speaking of which, does any country own the North Pole? If not, we should colonize up there and do something cool with the north pole. Just a thought...

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =( In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz. So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |
