On X-Box live it is a lot of fun...But you know, you can just assume and say it sucks. I wouldn't say it is as good as people like ddrking make it out to be and put it in their sigs, but it is a good game.

UT04 sucks.. Barbie dolls suck.. Max players in 16 for a big team battle.. FPS is great, I have never had a problem with it.. I guess if you put 16 people on the screen all shooting dual needlers that might mess it up. All the maps are new maps or revamped maps. There are plently more than 2 new guns on here.

That doesn't make it a bad game.

People that think it was over-hyped, I don't have a problem with. It was overhyped, and the gameplay was not revolutionary in any way.

There is no way that you can support that it is indeed a bad game. It was put together extremely well, and I think Bungie did a great job in producing an improvement to Halo 1.

However, people who go with the trend of saying "Halo 2 sux!!", I do have a problem with. It is a lot of fun and has hours of multiplayer replay value.

The reason I find it fun is the extremely balanced weapons. If you use good tactics, you can counter the sniper or the guy with the rocket launcher. Also, Halo 2 online with friends is amazingly fun.

God, I hate all the Halo 2 nazis. They say Halo 2 sucks just to create controversy. Half of them have never even played the game. You know what? Everyone that says Halo 2 sucks who hasn't even played the game is a fucking tool who thinks it's fun to be a rebel with no facts to back it up. If it sucks so bad, then why is there tons of reviews giving it 10's or high 9's? Answer that for me. And don't say because of hype/suspense, because no professional game mags review games right after getting hyped up about it.

Because it's incredibly overhyped and has a legion of fanboys rivaling Bible Bangers. No magazine is going to give it low scores, because their subscriptions would halve overnight. Fanboys that make up 90% of gamers don't want to see reviews, they want entertainment. Gamespot played to every fanboys' rage, and what happens as a result? Their hits triple. Oh wait, that's good for them, since they are, in fact, a corporate website.

And don't say because of hype/suspense, because no professional game mags review games right after getting hyped up about it.

Yeah, they wait three or four months and then review it after millions of people have already bought and played it.

ADDING, of course, to the fact that console gamers are much more mainstream and thus, more succeptable to hype, than PC gamers. There's a reason HL2 didn't score 100%'s across the board (although it still beat Halo 2, which isn't even on the top 10 at gamerankingsa nymore), purely because we know better. We know a game can never be perfect. We've been through Daikatana, we're more mature, and we can tell a good game from a bad one (Enter the Matrix sold what, 100 million units?)

Here's the reason I'm anti-halo. If Halo 2 was the exact same game, everything was exactly the same, only it wasn't a sequal to Halo (the only game in history more overhyped than Halo 2), it wouldn't have gotten half the media attention or sales this one is meriting. I doubt the reviews would even be as good, for reasons stated above. I hate hype, I hate fanboys, and I hate dumbasses- Halo retards fit into all three catagories. I have yet to encounter a more ignorant and irritating fanbase from any game, ever. And I've been playing games for a long time.

I have played it and didn't enjoy it. It's not fun having 1 million things to do on a controller either.

Also, Halo 2 = Halo 1 but few new maps and guns and DOUBLE GUN OH NOES! I enjoyed it for like a few minutes but got bored. Just isn't as fun as everyone claims it to be..

Halo 2 does seem more like an expansion pack than a sequel however.
