I hate telemarketers.

Some bitch called me at 9:45 this morning and woke me up...

...during a dream I was having where a very hot woman was stripping for me.

Grrr... fucking bitch.

What are your experiences with telemarketers?

most of us have the pleasure of people not speaking french robby.

and, as i only have a cellphone, i don't get telemarketers anymore. when i lived at home, i had alot of Police Chiefs Assoc wanting my used cars... i told them varying things from "i thought cops were above the skidmark of society that is telemarketing. also, don't you guys impound tons of cars?" to "arrest me for it." i think they stopped calling after that one.

most of the time with random ones, i'd let them go through their entire monologue, then tell them to f-ck off and hang up.

Heh, my older brother is 15k in debt, so we seriously get around 12 calls a day from Lawyers =/

These people who say they are from the army keep calling and asking my sister to join. Well one day they called and I said, "Listen, you've called here lots of times before, she doesn't want to be in the army." So I hung up. They called back about 5 seconds later and said, "Excuse me, did you just hang up on a U.S. army official?" I stood there in awe for about 10 seconds, them told them to stop calling or I'd call the police, after that they never called back, so it's safe to assume they weren't really army people

My dad always says "hold on," flushes the toilet and then says "Excuse me, go on".

Now we are on the "No Call list" and we also have caller ID. Don't have much trouble with telemarketers anymore.

We used to get a lot of scams. Stuff for supporting poor kids or something. We'd ask them to send us more information through mail and they'd hang up.

One time they asked me if they could talk to the lady of the house. I said hold on a second and then blasted Waka Laka into the phone. Then I hung up.

I try not to be rude to them...because could you imagine what it's like on the other side of the phone? They earn their paycheck by getting hung up on all day. Getting screamed at, 'dissed', and in the end...just getting completely owned by almost every caller.

So, I try to be nice and leave being a jerk to other people.

I never pick up a number I don't know on caller ID, I just leave it to my parents.

If I ever do though, I'll probably do what Flypie did. Except with Dignity. =D

I feel kind of bad being mean to them though.

They're just doing their job. Trying to support themself and maybe a family.
Atleast politely let them they you're not interested.

Now...if they get pushy..THEN you may be rude.

I had one call my dorm at about 11 at night a couple of months ago. >.<

Then I had another that was offering some sort of application but was so insistant on getting some info that I didn't want to give that I hung up on her.

My super-awesome and ultimately genius 11th grade English teacher told me something once.

He said to always hear them out with an open mind before you hang up on them.

After listening to one for 30 seconds, he figured out it was someone from his cellphone provider offering a better service plan than he presently had for much less and took it. No extra charge, saved 50 bucks a month.

Of course, I don't answer the phone at my house. I DO, however, get calls at work. When that happens, I get some real fun.
