Default Your Ideal Future

A spin-off from the other CT topic (just for you, Aedek). I put it in here to keep out all of the useless garble that happens in other boards. Whether it be near or distant future, post about it here. No pessimestic posting, either. No reason to burst our bubbles. This is just a topic to see what people would like to see in ther future.

For me, two words: Gundam Wing.

Space colonies+Gundams=^.^

Even if what you want can spawn a billion negetive reactions, I don't want people to point them out here. This is basically a feel-good, somewhat-higher level thinking topic.

Astronaut living on Mars. Yep, that's right. When I retire, I will be living on Mars. I'm also going to be the first person on Mars.

I have a limited number of autographed photos of me for which the bidding starts at $1000000. XD

But seriously, my goal in life is to be the first person on Mars, and I will be the first person on Mars. I won't let anything get in my way. I've wanted to be an astronaut since I was a little kid, and about 3 years ago I decided I would be the first person on Mars.

Other than that, I don't have really have any plans for the future.

Also, I like the idea of downloding information straight into your brain. To know all the languages and about all the cultures would probably make for a more socially-accepting society as a whole.

Also...Virtual Reality games...where...like...you can do whatever. Like, in an RPG based game, it'll pick up your every sword movement or dodge or anything like that.

Hah, you know me too well. My ideal future is a world devoid of war, disease, religion, obesity, and stupidity.

Insane technological advances, something similar to that of "Minority Report" - without the slums and corruption (ideal right?). My dad's been writing a book for a few years and half the technology in Minority report he's already thought up.. like the massive car transit thing :P

Anyways...

Oh yeah, like those commericals that came out just before PS2 was released, showing the possible future of PS2 where you play in your brain. :O

Hover cars - environmentally friendly.

And world peace. Alternative sources of fuel, and a world that loves the Films I'm involved in.

It's ideal, but it won't happen. What WILL happen is humanity kills itself.

Ok. My real list.

1) Brain-based internet. You can download information (such as the previously-mentioned language learning) straight to your brain. Or, if you just want to know something about the day or where you're headed, it'll be right in your head, such as traffic or weather.

2) Super-hyper-mega-awesome gaming. Virtual Reality could use a boost story-wise and graphically. And it's really not that much fun playing as it is right now. Hopefully console games get to the point where they integrate something into your body.

3) Definitely looking for better transportation. Hover cars is only the start of it. You need jetpacks or rocket shoes or something. Or, simply invent the instant transport system.

That's all for now.

It's from the bible. The bible in my pants.
