Yes, I think it's time to say goodbye. Halo 2 comes out in 12 hours 27 minutes and 50 seconds, and I really don't see how Im going to have enough free time anymore to post. It has been nice knowing you all, and my name is either going to be 87x, or Iam87x on Xbox live. So if you want to get owned one quick time in Halo I would love to see you on there..

Dammit, I was going to make this thread, except I was going to do it tomorrow and make it a Halo2-twentieth birthday post. Sigh.

But I know how you feel. That game will absorb my life for a good while. Unfortunately, I can't play over XBOX live here, so I'll just be engrossed with the single player and system link.

On top of that, I get to leave all y'all teenage kiddies behind and join the ranks of the cool people here. Hahahaz!!1

Yea, Im going to the midnight Release of it, Me and aBunch of Friends are going to have a get together tonight and We will probably end up playing it till Wednesday, seeing As I have tomorrow and Wednesday off from work, I plan on beating the game and Owning people online

BY THE WAY ALL YOU ANTI-SQUEEK PEOPLE. I will be playing Halo 2 to verify its status as an overrated game. I am not someone that forms opinions on games without playing them.

I've played Halo 2...it's good, but not spectacular. It's one of those games that's really cool for awhile..then you get burnt out on it after a few weeks. I'm not discouraging you from playing it, as this is just my opinion.

Half-Life 2 will be better :> (no, I'm not a fanboy of ANY sort.)

i guess Im the only one who was never really that impressed by Halo... Most my gaming time (however little of an amount that is) goes to playing Counter Strike: Source

Same here Porgy I played halo a bit because it was a decent game, though I never played the story mode I played 2 player battle against my friend, we got pretty kick ass at it sniping eachother from 1000 yards within .03 seconds(I'm not exaggerating) My friend and I have a 0.03 second reaction time. Then I quit playing it, I might play halo 2 with my friend a little because he'll probably buy it.

My friends and I have been playing on and off for the past few weeks

The weapons for Halo2 are so much more balanced... the only weapons which are not worth using (in my opinion) are the grenade launcher and the magnum pistol. Twin smgs are deadly in close range maps, and so is the sword (incredibly cool). The battle is basically equivalent of what the pistol was in the last game. There's no really "cheap" weapon.

Maps are HUGE. Absolutely gigantic. The best maps from the last game (in my opinion) are redone in this game. The smallest map is the remake of battle creek (also bigger this time). Improved blood gulch was also available.

New vehicle also rock...boosts make using the old vehicles 100x better. Oh, and the ghost owns the banshee

Other than that, Halo2 is not spectacularly better than original Halo. Nothing really innovative, just improved.

I don't understand why Halo is so 'cool' and popular. I think it is a really annoying game. I mean at first, Halo was pretty cool. After I beat it about once every night, it got really boring. Even versing other people. Who the hell would go to somthing at midnight to play a game like that to play for 2 days strait? These people on Xbox, a majority of them over 21 years of age, play Halo for a living. They have Halo parties and get-togethers. Why? Why don't we have these 'cool' parties for other games?

Bottom Line:
Halo is retarded.

Well, have fun 87x, and I guess whoever else will be leaving us for the midnight release/beat the game in 2 days, of this popular video game.

I can't wait until I'm old enough to make my own decisions and/or just old enough for my parents not to care about what I do. I wasn't even allowed to use the free two week trial of XBox Live when I got it. They probably won't even let me buy H2 because it's rated M and my parents do home daycare for 2nd through 6th graders and they like to think they shelter me. (I'm 13 in case anyone was wondering) I played Halo 1 at my friends house for about an hour. I miss so many once-in-a-lifetime oppourtunities all the time because of my age.
