Score in, Freestyle out?

I notice that more people are playing DDR for score now and not many play freestyle? Is this true?

I play at my local arcade (Aladdan's Castle) and out of all people that play there I am the only one that freestyle's there!

I also notice that they all play Heavy and so do I but they all bar rape while playing, whats wrong have no coordination???

For all the freestylers out there I thank you for sticking with me on playing
"Dance Dance Revolution" and not "Just hit arrows for high score Revolution".

y'know... if the point of the game was freestyling, konami would have put in sensors like Para Para Paradise. the point of the game is to hit the arrows accurately, quickly, and to the beat.


i've seen about 100 freestyle vids, most from people who finish top 3-4 in that particular tournament.... and its all the same retarded crap. not to mention the ones that aren't the top. those are even worse. just little girls swaying their hips to Dynamite Rave on light or some cross-breeded wigger swinging a lightsaber around while looking like he has a mental disorder.

i've seen 1. ONE! freestyle video that i feel is worthy... and the guy didn't even win his tournament. freestyle has never been in. anyone can create an uncreative routine to a 3 foot song... not everyone can AAA max300 or AA PSMO...

try playing the game for real.

the guys who finish 1st or 2nd in the tournaments that i've seen are better than the retards doing the same boring routine over and over again.... but they still aren't good. maybe you'd be willing to send me a vid of a good routine shox.

I see you talking bout all these people are not good and I understand that there are some people that are not good but they are probably just starting out or dont know where thier state of coordination is yet. I was like that once but then I started breakdancing with one of asian friends and now I have great balance on DDR! =^.^=

sorry to break your spirit DO, but i don't play DDR at all. lots and lots of ffr/sm, but no ddr. now, don't get me wrong... i've spent plenty of time in arcades seeing others play. also, like i said, i've seen at least 100 vids of TOURNAMENT freestyle videos... if you would like, i'll send you the best one i have, IMO... and i still don't think its that great.

i'm gonna check out those vids snapps posted, and i'll edit this with my comments.


edit: ok, those were both above average... but still so boring. the trenchcoat person (female?) was just spinning round and round alot... weeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!! while the two dudes playing double were pretty standard in alot of there stuff vs what i've seen. a few extra glamor tricks, but nothing spectacular. i've seen better, and i'm definately not impressed if that is your definition of a really good freestyler.

wow... snapps... i have that vid on my computer. that is EXACTLY what i am talking about when i saw that freestyling is bad. that guy is 120% retarded. he looks like a fool from start to finish, especially in the 2nd half with the lightsaber. there was really nothing overly creative about that... the only difficult part was doing stuff on his knees... and the whole routine just reaks of mockery.

If you think holding the bar makes a player have noo coordination, you really need to go back and rethink DDR. Who cares if someone holds the bar? If it helps them PA better, then don't complain. Its their style of play. It does NOT make them a bad player in the least. And freestyle heavy? Lol.
