Mortal Kombat has been getting worse since MK:II. I assume this isn't much better than Deadly Alliance.

Thus, I should not waste my money on a PS2 and this game. I will stick with my favorite fighting game of all time: Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2. The sequel comes out in a month or so. Cannot wait. Oh, and it's for Gamecube only. Ouch. Guess you'll have to get Narutimett Hero 2. Not like that's bad...just not as cool as Taisen 3.

If you're looking for a good American-released PS2 fighting game, Guilty Gear x2 is where it's at. I hear the next installment may be xbox only, but I'm not sure. Also consider Marvel vs Capcom as that is also amazing.

Edit - they had a mini-gaming expo at our school. They brought Deceptions. It didn't look that amazing. I really wanted to play Rogue Agent...thanks a lot to the idiot that BROKE the only PS2 running it. How do you cause an EXCEPTION ERROR on a PS2?!

What.

MK: 3 Trilogy was the best MK game ever made.

Agree. MK 4 wasn't that bad, either.

No, no, MK4 was pretty bad.

MK 3 had it so right, but MK 4 was just a mess-up...

Never played 3. 4 was the first 3D, right? Something like that.

Seriously though, consider importing Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2 (or 3, if you want to pay a lot more for added characters and features...) and a FreeLoader disc to see what I mean about MY game. Sure, it's Cel-Shaded, but that's prevalent now.

PS - Don't know why the gamespot videos are lagging massively...eh.

it hasnt gonedownhill since mk II. Ultime mk3 was real good then it went downhill. You gotta give MKD some respects. Puzzle combat may be a copy but its styll good.

Honestly, the only 3D fighting game I've ever played that I liked was War of the Monsters, and that's not traditional fighting game at all. 3D fighting games are way too technically these days for my tastes, and the early ones were pathetic looking and had like, 4 moves for each person. I prefer 2D fighters a whole lot more, namely the Marvel vs Capcom and Capcom vs SNK games. Although, I haven't really played enough fighters to speak too much on this, so I'll step down now.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Mortal Kombat sucks now. If your even going to play this game you should only bother playing the SNES ones and the SEGA Genesis one.
