Wow, what's this?

Namco's exclusive GameCube RPG, Tales of Symphonia, has had it's US release date pushed back to Q3, 2004. Meanwhile, Tales of Legendia, the sequel to the title has been confirmed.

(Useless paragraph)

Fans of the SNES game Tales of Phantasia and others awaiting the title can take consolidation in the announcement that Namco have another Nintendo-exclusive game in the works, a sequel to Tales of Symphonia; Tales of Legendia. Nintendo are due to publish the sequel for release later this year, along with a GameBoy Advance game following on from the SNES port of Tales of Phantasia, that will also carry link device capabilities with the Gamecube.

Tales of Legendia is the name of the sequel to Tales of Symphonia Namco is working on right now. It will be published by Nintendo when it is released this year and it will have new GBA/GCN Connectivity features; the rest of the game will be almost the same it continues using the Multi Linear Battle System and full 3D graphics.

Namco is also working on another Tales Of game for the Game Boy Advance, but no details have been unveiled about this one except that it will also be published by Nintendo.

Unfortunately, I can't officially prove it due to the fact that Namco hasn't released any information on either the USA or JAP site. We'll have to wait and see. But, with the amount of recognition as a great game that it got, I think a sequel is in order in any case.

Yes and I liked Grandia 2, also.

But that might just be me.
Again.

Tales > Grandia

Seriously guys. ToP is one of the best games ever made. And now they're making a direct sequel to it. For the GBA. This kicks so much ass. Now all they need to do is release ToP in the states.

It's hard :/ I've gotten stuck so many times. And now I'm in the past. I love this.

The links between the games were surprising. I really didn't expect them to use the same summon spirit names, the same items doing the same thing, etc.

The Tales series is definitely in the top RPG series, if not #1. If ToS doesn't get game of the year (or at least a nomination), it would shock so many people.

yah i love ToS too but holy crud its way long. My friend and i payed it for about 20 hours and we didnt even get to disk 2. When you fly on the thingies i tought "any moment now a litle screen will pop up and say 'please insert disk2'" but it didnt (cry) im so misunderstood. But im happy to hear their cooming out with a sequel.

Yea, um...20 hours would be JUST ABOUT finishing the fourth temple. Maybe. I finished at 65 hours.

Unless you're cool like me and you're playing it a second time through with Grade-bought stuff... level 93, 13 hours into the game and in Flanoir.

PS - no news updates on this even though it's like a month old now.
