A long, long, long time ago I had the AIM screename of Mooglebound, which combined Moogles and Earthbound, two of my favorite things.

For some reason, all of my friends started abbreviating this name to Moogy.

It stuck.

AND NOW YOU KNOW LOLOL

When I was a Freshman, some Junior on my bus said I looked like a mouse and so dubbed me Squeek.

Taunting nicknames don't work if you like them.

The 'Mre' part was just a clever ploy I thunked up one day. It's really "Mr. E Squeek", but no site ever allows punctuation or spaces. Twenty guesses on what "Mr. E" really means.

I've been using it ever since I saw Yellow Submarine when I was 10 or something.

Well I had just seen the movie master of disguise which looked ok in the previews...you know turtle turtle...well so it turned out to be bad. So, then at home I was telling soccr about it and then I was like Master of Fly pies (ryhmes with disguise)...so then I made a yahoo account that I was going to share with soccr...so I wanted it to be flypie and some numbers and he wanted it to be something 743...some we compromised on flypie743....and so I kept flypie743 for all my other stuff. So yeah...now you know why we both have 743 in our names, too.

In middle school we all tried to act weirder than each other. To prove that I was the weirdest I chose a username as Freak. Later when I was playing Diablo II I tried to make an account "Freak" but it was already taken. I randomly chose the numbers 83 to go after it, (they have no significance) and thought that they meant nothing at the time but one day it would define me.

This is the first site I ever used Privateer for. I previously was Jeff Andonuts everywhere. I now use Privateer for everything I can. I was mildly interested in both the era in which privateers (both the ships and the people that manned them) were prominent aspects of sea life, and the ships that had been developing at the time, so I grabbed one of my favorites (I was also considering Carrack but because a privateer is also a person, it made more sense to choose that).

My screen name (fartforthecrowd) sprouted from a fart in an elevator that was blamed on someone else for the whole ride a few years ago.

Guido Anchovy, from the Samurai Pizza Cats
Hunter from Road Rovers

Both cartoons that own you.

It used to be GuidoHunt5, which was far less dumb looking (put two things I liek together, YAY! I'm clever!), but GuidoHunter just worked better for Gaming accounts.

Mad props to anyone who could guess the significance of my other handle, ElSoyokaze. The Soyokaze ("Gentle Breeze") was the warship from the anime The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. But since Japanese doesn't have articles, I had to add one from Spanish.

Excellent thread, Tacodude. I've wondered about a lot of people's.

I am a LEGO maniac. And it's LEGO you dolts. Stop calling me Lego. Look on the freaking blocks if you don't fucking believe me.

Anyway, I stopped using this name long ago. I now go by Fanya, and for those who are really close to me, Mufage. Fanya is an elven word (olol geek, yes yes I am a geek.) meaning white cloud. Yes, that's completely nonsensical. I don't care. The freaky thing is that only one person I've ever met on the internet ever knew what Fanya meant without me having to tell them. It was some random guy I met in a dungeon on Ragnarok Online. Mufage... well. One day I was falling asleep and all of the sudden, beyond my control, I just sat up and whispered out loud, "Mr. Mufage!!!" I don't know what Mufage means, is, or was, but now it's the name I use. So I guess LEGO and Fanya are both now extinct. Although Fanya still is my level 80 knight on Ragnarok. Oh well.

EDIT: Actually, my first screenname I ever majorly used was blu671. Blu as in Blue, in reference to the Eiffel65 songs "I'm Blue." 671 were just numbers because just "blu" was taken. Yeah, it's really really retarded. I was about 11 or 12. I can't remember the names I used when I used to sneak onto the Yahoo! Java chats when I was 8 years old.

IMO, the best game ever was Star Ocean: The second Story. I made an account called Staroceanfreak on gamefaqs.com, and I lost the password, so I made a new one adding the x at the end. I used the x at the end for all of my accounts now, Then, I posted ONE, SINGLE-LINE BLANK POST and got suspended for 45 days and lost 45 karma, So i made another account Staroceanfreak x with a space. That is what I am using on gamefaq's until my old account gets unsuspended, then I guess I'll just use the new one for an alt account.

okay, my actual screen name is Chickens Of Doom.

Put quite simply, I didn't originally think of it. My name wasn't working one day, so my friend gave me that name to use until mine worked again. I ended up using it as a prank name for a while (my normal screenname was ImEric12, which is fairly easy to guess it's origins.. my name is Eric, birthday day is 12[th of February]), and a few months ago, I decided I was sick of ImEric12, and really liked chickens of doom, and made it my permanent AIM name. yay.

Also, can names be edited here? If so, if any admin get's a chance, I'd kinda like this to be changed to 'chickens of doom'... not of huge importance, but if you get a chance.

Keyboard mashing + vowels in places to make it pronouncable.
