Using acronyms to shorten things is one thing, but saying things that make no sense that don't abbreviate is just retarded. Examples:
gurl boi kewl wut (shortened a bit, but retarded still) using z instead of s Stuff like that is annoying and makes the person look stupid. My sisters friend types like that, and I'm convinced she is fucking retarded.

Probably the only one I use is 'lol', and that's only when I'm chatting. Except for stupid ones, like o RLY and roflwafl.

I don't care about the usage of any, but people don't realize it's not worth looking like an idiot to save yourself a few minutes of your life in typing.

I very rarely use lol, and I frequently use "brb" or "afk" when chatting, because those are acronyms that save a LOT of time. I dislike lol because it has been... I don't know, perverted. People use it all the freaking time even when they're obviously not laughing and something's not even funny.
Aside from that, most of them dont' save much space and just make you look stupid. Even before the internet I came into the habit of using "cya", so I don't even think about that as being a shortened word. It's a word, to me. I prefer to be easy to read than type faster. I'm just so selfless that way.

I am opposed to all forms of internet-based acronyms. If you didn't know that by now, you've been living in a hole.
So basically, when I see it, I deduct a few points from you. Unless you had billions of points before (like Anti), then it's going to cost you any respect I might have had for you. Course, you can earn it back by being a normal person again. ~Squeek |

If I was standing next to somebody and they typed any chatroom acronym, I would rip out their throat and shove it up their ass.

Personally, I prefer not using it. Once in awhile, I will bust out a "lol" or "brb," though. Pretty much any other time, I'm making fun of someone who overuses it. Like when people put "lolol" I'm like "OMG WTF OLOOLOLLOOLOL DAT WAS T3H FUNNY"
