Caved and picked it up on Steam. Biggest reason for buying it was because I live in Chicago and it's pretty well reconstructed in-game.

Only about three hours into it. Fun but slightly annoying. Sneak missions where if you're caught once it's a restart. Being able to hack peoples' phones is pretty cool. One large black mans description came up as "Prescribed medical marijuana" and then I actually felt bad for stealing the bank account of the man with cancer.

Story missions blah blah blah. I've just been running around listening to peoples' conversations and then trying to intervene. I've saved a dude from being tossed off Navy Pier but I've also gone and stolen a stash of drugs.

Graphics are pretty, e3 crap or not.

Favorite part so far was hacking a black mans phone who was a drug dealer, stealing his bank account of $4k, then I turned around and there is some nerdy-ass kid who is a "video game addict". I jack his bank account too...of $6k

So far I'm having lots of fun exploring. Will add on more later.

It's grossly repetitive after a certain point, but the detail is astounding. People pissing outside bars? A guy getting blown in an alley by a hooker? A woman detailing her life story as you get wasted with the local boozehounds? Why the hell not?

(I played the PS4 version if that makes a lick of a difference)

edit: totally overlooked the fact that this was already mentioned in the op my bad

glorifies hacking so much that you need to hack the game just to get the full potential of the graphics they showed off at e3 (PC version).

heres a gif of what was shown at e3 on PCc, and what the finished game looks like. (the shitty quality is the final release of the game):



users have found and modded settings that were purposely hidden/disabled as well as found high res textures that were not used. pretty lame.

heres a video showing comparison of what was shown at e3, and the final release as well as showing the mods that enable the settings that ubisoft had removed:

so if you had the option of playing the game with fantastic graphics as opposed to "decent" graphics you would choose the decent graphics?

Yeah, the PC graphics got toned down/cut off. It apparently looks e3 beautiful on the ps4.

If the summer sales drop the price of this game, I'm buying it as soon as it does.

Meno had brought this up to me a few days ago and while it does look great, the bokeh effect is absolutely ridiculous. It looks terrible. The worst depth of field I've ever seen.
