Whoa, today my sister and I went to this Vietnamese resturaunt.. and it wasn't the food that intrigued me the most! I ordered this "Bubble Tea" drink flavored with honey dew melon, which contained contained "boba", which I wasn't aware of. It's these pretty big marble like balls made of tapioca. It tasted really good with the honey dew flavor, but it certainly gave me a shock when I took a sip and out of the straw came some unidentified jelly crud =\ Apparently this drink is popular in the west coast, so some of you might know what I'm talking about. So, all of you share your strange food experiences. Boba for everyone!

Yeah you are right it's popular here. I don't see what the big fuss is though. It's pretty tasteless.
I can't really think of any weird foods i've eaten off hand, but i've probably ate some strange stuff without knowing it.

Bubble Tea at a vietnamese restaurant? WTF? Whatever, bubble tea is actually a taiwanese specialty drink. and stuff you get around NA is disgusting anyhow. go to HK they actually put coffee in it. direct translation from the chinese name of bubble tea would be "pear bubble coffee" so yeah, it only makes sense if there's coffee in it.
And yeah, if anything is good, it's SUSHI!!! Don't diss the raw fish.

Funny...I was just talking about Bubble Tea with "Shell" last night.
Yeah..bubble tea is big...I guess. I never really thought much about it. But I cant drink much of the milk kind since milk makes me vomit. Still tasty though. Strangest thing I have eaten...hmm...I'm really not sure...maybe gun powder. |

I believe it's "SHELL". In caps, because caps is cruise control for cool.
I was thinking about eating barbequed eel. That doesn't count though. Sand. I ate sand as a kid, because I HAD to try everything. Sand, and human flesh.

I ate at Pho '99 (A vietnamese resturant) and yes...I am a "whyte boi". I had, well,I can't spell it but it is pronounced "fuh". It was very good.
I live right next to "Boba Joes" which, obviously, sells boba drinks which I get every once in a while. They are very popular,I don't see why though...I'd rather have a green apple slush =D

I bit my dog once. Does that count?
He was really pissing me off and biting the other dog, so I figured I'd give him a taste of his own medicine. He didn't like it too much :\

I was kidding about the bull testicles, all.
But something most of you may or may not know- you've all eaten quite a bit of bugs. Yep. I believe the average is somewhere around 50 pounds a year. You don't notice them- they're all mashed up and ground into your food. The FDA has standards of how many bugs can be allowed to be found in food, but they recognize there is simply no way to keep them out. |

I ate liver once. It was pretty good but left a wicked bad aftertaste. Does that count?
If it doesn't, I've also had frog legs. They were ok. @anti: that's damn gross.

Me either. I'm going to be anorexic thanks to Anti. Or maybe bulemic, so that I can throw up all the bugs. But be anorlemic. I'm not going to eat, and just throw up.
