I used to play quite a bit waaay back then, and I've started picking up Stepmania again.
However, with bemanistyle down (and FFR no longer hosting simfile uploading in similar fashion) I'm not sure if there's a way to get some of the old popular (and some not quite as known) step artists' files from back then anymore. Some I can name off the top of my head I enjoyed were DukAmok, Kilgamayan, Toph, Arch0wl, Linus, Omegix (Deepbluesea for some really older ones...), Spazzbite, Skorpion9x, Jimerax, aperson, mwerp, Reach....there were some more but their names are escaping me at the moment, it's been a long time. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here's some that I could find.
Apersons: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads/packs/Apersons.zip Arch0wl Originals: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...0Originals.zip Kilga Originals: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...20version].zip Linus originals: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...20version].zip Reach Originals: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...20version].zip Skropion9x: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...0Originals.zip Toph Originals: http://stepmaniaonline.net/downloads...20version].zip You can also find several other old popular files in ancient collab packs, unfortunately I only have tried a couple of them and didn't really like them so I removed them a little while ago, so you'll have to do some looking around here http://stepmaniaonline.net/index.php?page=downloads |

Thanks a lot for the help!
<3 Wish it was possible to download the single files off of that Indeed Engine site there and not have to go through downloading an entire pack :[

Last time I heard from dballin, he actually lost a lot of his stuff. I think he only has like half the alphabet or something like that. I wish he would be a bit more active. -_-

Q: dballin what the hell are you doing on FFR? Were you really summoned by some dark ritual?
A: Blame Humble Bundle. I have no idea how they got my old email account which was used solely to register a new filefront account after they deleted my original one for hosting ITG files, but they did. Those were forwarded to my actual email account because I never once checked it. I had 54 emails since 2006 and all but the last 4 of them were from filefront in 06-07. Luckily 2006 me emailed the password to myself so I could log in and disable forwarding so I'd stop getting the same emails twice. While searching for "simfile" I came across a bunch of old emails from FFR about thread subscriptions and decided to see what was going on in this corner of the internet. While disabling email forwarding, I also found a "what's my password lololol" email from filefront so I could once again log into my old as shit account which still works. And this brings us to the present time where for the first time since 2007 there are simfiles hosted on the Simfilez account on what is now gamefront.com Mwerp: http://www.gamefront.com/files/23927...+Originals.zip and since you like Mwerp, I'm assuming you also like Ren: http://www.gamefront.com/files/23927...+Originals.zip and you might as well get the shit they did together: http://www.gamefront.com/files/23927...+Originals.zip Quote:
I did have all the deepbluesea stuff but I played index and his sims were shit to play index so they got the axe.

Thanks DBallin, appreciate it and yes, I do like Ren's as well!
I miss the older days, most packs nowadays are filled with files that are Triples/Quads and those certainly are a pain playing index x_x

I would say turn hands off, but you'll still be stuck with patterns that don't work on index. maybe grab some pad packs?

HOLY FCK DANCEGUY you're still here! Hi Hi!
I COULD play with no hands but wouldn't be playing the file as it was "naturally intended to be played"...I dunno I'm weird, I do it here and there on some files but weird patterns I got no problem with, anything I have trouble doing just means I need to get better at it.

definitely gonna have trouble with a lot of the newest keyboard packs if hands are left on. pad players have gotten stupid fast though, so new pad packs are pretty ideal for index. have you found where to download the oldies?

If you're not good at index new pad packs will destroy you mercilessly. Keyboard is another thing.
