2013/14 Premier League (Soccer/Football)
Hey guys I know a bulk of the users on this site are American and are therefore not as accustomed to 'soccer' but being from England, I am a fan of the sport. I support my local team Sunderland and we're in the Premier League. I decided just to make this thread for those who at least follow the sport or who are interested in the Premier League. If anyone is at least knowledgeable about the Premier League or has a team they support then feel free to post a reply.
P.S. I decided to make this thread as today (10/11/2013) Sunderland beat Manchester City 1-0 and I kinda wanted to brag about it a bit! XP

Yeah I know, it was just a generalisation but especially considering that I'm referring to the English league it would be natural for American or people from other nationalities to be unfamiliar with the English league. But yeah United are winning and we've helped you out a bit I guess! :P

I watch EPL every once in a while. I used to be a Chelsea fan, but eh, I can't seem to settle on a fanhood. I enjoy FC Porto, but.. different league so oh well.
I'm honestly pretty surprised by a Sunderland upset of City. City is fuckin' stacked (aka have a shit ton of money)

Aston Villa fan reporting in. Completely up and down season so far, but generally bad, with a brilliant performance followed by a hoofball show. That's what happens when you sell your best players and buy lots of mediocre ones.
Also, my co-worker is a sunderland fan. We got drunk after work and watched the penalty shoot out and I was celebrating with him as if I was a supporter myself. Good night.

I know I'm a month late but WOW another Spurs fan! I rarely get a chance to watch many matches, since they air so early here. But I always try to watch them!

Re: 2013/14 Premier League (Soccer/Football)
So yeah, I'm gonna post in here just because I'm happy lol. On the 7th April, Sunderland (my team) lost 5-1 to Tottenham and found themselves bottom of the league with a few 7 games remaining. We needed a miracle to stay up according to our manager. We then went on this incredible run including a 2-2 draw at Manchester City, a 2-1 win at Chelsea, a 4-0 win over Cardiff and a 1-0 win at Manchester United. Sunderland aren't exactly powerhouses in the Premier League but this is our 7th successive season and for so many long periods throughout the season, I feared that we would be relegated and now barring some mathematical miracle, we will survive and will be playing in the Premier League next season.
