What are your thoughts my fellow Californians? Are they in line with the generic yahoo user comments?

If companies and shit would stop raising their costs because they aren't getting enough profit, they wouldn't have to do this. Let's just making everything a non-profit organization, and focus on helping people live a healthy normal life instead of struggling to keep food on the table.
That rant doesn't include people who are retarded as fuck and put themselves there, such as buying a house you know you can't afford. Or addiction problems and/or unprioritized responsibilities.

Prices on everything will go up again because companies now have to pay more to pay their employees, just like with every increase to minimum wage. Nothing'll change.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, definitely (well it's already obvious but still)

Damn, but then again, I hear that California is the priciest state to live in, so I think it actually evens out somehow.
I could be wrong though! Min wage here in Michigan is $7.40 and I have not seen that number change. My face when my job though is making more than min wage here, but less than min wage in some states, and California soon to be included if not already. Dem states man. |

Minimum wage here is $7.25/hr still. So every hour, one could make enough to either buy a gallon of milk or a box of cereal (but not both, they're both around $7-8 each).

Really wish they'd increase the tipped minimum wage in the rest of the country. Being a waiter in San Fran must be in the highest ranks of salary.

Cost of living over here is ridiculous, and this is coming from someone who lived in NY up until last year.
Either way I'm a contractor in a weird personal family work situation who doesn't even make close to minimum wage so this doesn't affect me : ( |

Texas is $7.25. I wish it would go up.
