Default DIAVOLO (4k all difficulties/6k)

http://www.mediafire.com/?3xda4c53cp3vyz6

4K BEGINNERS WELCOME.
6K has my steps and IIDX steps.
Kommi if you ever download it and like it you're welcome to add it to your solo rulz pack <3

I'm releasing it here because booking it exclusively in a 6k pack would be "underrating" it I think (99% of 6k files don't have a whole set of 4k maps and vice-versa).

Downloading. Interested to see how one tries to moderate and accomodate a song like this on solo.

p.s. might want to correct the spelling for "transcendental"

Don't worry I didn't made it a dump
I used mAlIcIoUs sTePmAnIA subt3rfug3s to make it actually enjoyable.
Or at least I tried. (There isn't any dump difficulty on it shame on me

well except for the IIDX chart but it can't be helped)

Diavolo is a cool song, at first i was like "i got dis" then the bursts started to come... but it's really well done! gj

Yes the bursts were a real problem. I wanted Challenge to actually reflect what was actually happening for the sake of being technically solid.
Heavy may be a lot funnier on that part???
Thanks for the feedback!

I played Heavy and Challenge on 4k and both charts on 6k.

With exception to the conversion of course, the files were all well-moderated in terms of difficulty and had a variety of challenges that made them interesting to play. I wasn't a fan of several things though: the long series of 24ths in the middle had jumps on all 8th notes which were rather annoying to hit. The ending I also disagree with; what I expected was some sort of fast-moving climax (like perhaps 24ths watered down from the actual 48ths), but instead I got a mine-dodging part where I hit scant 16th gallops (in the harder version, they're 16th minijacks). That felt sort of anti-climatic to me; didn't really think mine-dodging fits in with the rest of the file.

Hahaha I feel you're frustration dude
I guess I had to make a *tough* decision on what to do with the end (and well it's easier to deal with that on solo than on 4 panels).
I wanted to make it feel different from the streams that appeared before because the fast sequences musically feel different than wide diatonical (?) note-slipping (actually I don't know how you call that gimmick).

So I wanted to express that difference in the file, and I thought mine dodging would correctly express that final intensity while keeping the whole style faithful to the music.
Thinking about it after reading your post, I guess I could have tried to make fast green coloured gallops (or at least with the color you usually attribute to the fastest notes) while keeping the relative speed of the stream around 24th/32nd.
????? I guess I could try a v2 while keeping in mind what you said

Also yeah I think I was a bit too fierce on the 24th jumpstreams hahaha(ahhahaa............) I guess it wasn't necessary to layer it so tightly.

I will 2nd what bmah said. some of the minedodging felt out of place.

a minor qualm though, great stuff overall (4k oni and 6k whatever the not-iidx chart was)
