a few FC stuff

I haven't post screenshots for a long time so I'll post a few scores.
I suck at FC'ing a song, usually get a few misses or goods.
these are some FC stuff.

Finally FC'd Gravity, It's pretty good for me.

also FC'd Vanish V2, its first time FC this.

AAA'd it. MA is not that good though.

First of all.. don't use editted metrics mods to post screenshots.
You know how much easier it is to read Gravity on 600bpm than it is on 500bpm? I'd have FC'd it aswell with that big of a difference. I use normal mods though, and I've never touched an editted mod (except C600 but that was on Caprice or something like that).
The other scores are good though.

The point of speed mods is to make it scroll at a rate that is comfortable to you. Editing it is perfectly fine.

In my opinion, they're not.
You're editting software to make it easier for you.
I still play with 1x/1.5x/2x/3x/4x/8x.
That's it.
And on the odd occasion, maybe 0.5x or something. Doesn't matter if you're hitting the same arrows or not, it's the displacement of the arrows that matters.
For example, the difference between your ability on 1x and 2x is quite large. Most people will do a lot better on 2x. Now if you modify that speed to make it comfortable as in your limit for BPM reading, than it just makes the game a whole lot easier.
My score on 2x on gravity is harder to get than a 2.5x score. 500bpm compared to 600 is a MAJOR difference. Do you realize this?
Basically my theory is, if you can't read it that well on 2x, don't go and change the damn game to make it easier for you. Learn to do it on what's given to you and improve on that.
Still considered cheating in my books.

It's doesn't really matter. Some people do better with C??? and some people do better without. There's people better than others that don't use C??? and there's some better than others that don't use it. It's the same thing 90% of the time.

The speed mods were given to you by who.. who said that these speed mods are the official, OMGWTF, speedmods? They give them to you because a newb is supposed to download and play stepmania.. So they add a few of the more common ones to help them along.. If they didn't want you too then they would have made it so you couldn't just edit the metrics.. and make it so user friendly..

As for mods, I don't care X.Xx speed(2.5x, 3.25x, 4x, etc) at all unless the song has speed
change and using C-mods. so 2.5x on gravity.. it's just a scroll speed, so it should be customable
I think. I also played it on 2x and AA'd but yeah much harder to FC and PA.

I haven't FC'd some other songs(Sextacy, Gaussian Blur, and so on) and especially still a little
horrible on snow, so I need to try them.

Well, I actually editted for 5x before, and it came before in previous alpha's, so yea I'd say it's allowed.
But everything else is kinda bogus :S

I personally do not play with edited metrics, like evilpeer... I never had a version with 5, so dun use that either... I just don't think it's the same with edited metrics... but I also don't complain when other ppl use it... to me, that's just THEIR decision... I don't call it cheating exactly... but I play SM for myself mostly, and I don't feel as accomplished having used an edited metric...

There's no rule we must use the "default" metrics here.
If there's a contest and it has a rule like that allowed to use only 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 8x,
I'll use the metric in those. but okay, I won't use them for posting.

I posted SM scores here like half a year ago, and uploaded some scores in user gallary,
which I just thought still weren't much of worth bragging.

Ah, didn't mean to make a big deal out of it. Just pointing out Gravity is basically a lot easier on 2.5x than 2x. And if you could read that on 3x.. well.
But I just don't agree with it, that's all.
I mean yea, make posts with em on.. but like, it's just so much easier to use the editted metrics than the actual mods.

Just don't use CMods when it's going to make the song obviously easier. Gravity is a good example of it. People who AAAd/ SDG Gravity surely had a hard time getting good MA with the slow parts. Using a CMod in Gravity feels like the slow part is a breeze than on 2.5x.
