UPDATE 4:02 p.m. — New York Post is reporting 12 Dead and 24 injured.

UPDATE 3:55 p.m. — Via CBS: The third bomb has been detonated in a controlled explosion.

idk how credible this is but it's starting to look like it's not an accident, the live report of CBS is still reporting 2 dead and 23 wounded, not 12 dead 24 injured.

Also, this part stood out to me:

"Relatives of Sandy Hook Massacre victims were VIP guests at the finish line tent, where the bombing occurred. The theme of this year's marathon was "26 Miles for 26 Victims."

I'm hoping this is a coincidence. 24 dead as reported by New York Post and Boston Globe reports 64 wounded thus far. This is terrible.

Not sure if fake or not, one speculates it could be someone getting a better look at the race but there's a man on the roof in this pic.

Edit: The man looks to be wearing a dark colored shirt, which coincides with the "black male in a black hoodie with a backpack was spotted trying to enter a gated area. He was turned away and was operating an iPad. This was 5 minutes before the bombing." That's just my own observation. Suspect being guarded in the hospital at the moment with shrapnel wounds is a Saudi national.

new york post are not the most reliable of papers. most news sources maintain that 2 are dead at least 23 injured.

also the saudi national info is also sourced from the new york post. wouldn't trust it yet.

thoughts are of course with everyone at boston what a horrible situation to be caught in. london marathon next week too hope nothing happens.

This is obviously speculation, but not a bad one.

This doesn't seem like a terrorist attack. Moreso domestic. Then again, you never know these days.

Anybody know of any controversial political decisions made in Boston recently? I feel like this has to do with something along those lines since it's highly publicized.

Thanks, and yea I'm just posting speculation. Nothing that isn't too farfetched, it's hard to verify much at the moment. Thanks for the tip retching oesophagus, I'll keep that in mind. I'm looking into the fire that was at JFK library at UMass Boston, apparently there was an incendiary device there as well. I had found a pic of it but that's as far as I've gone with that.

I can't get my mind off the fact the marathon was related to Sandy Hook victims. If any of you looked into Sandy Hook you might have known about all the contradictory information from early on that was covered up later. The Sandy Hook shooting was extremely fishy and I lean towards it having been staged (even though I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist). I clearly remember facts early on that were suddenly gone and never accounted for. That being said if there is relevance in Sandy Hook with this bombing then there is relevance with what I believe to be the real culprits behind the Sandy Hook event and the people behind this bombing. I am hoping that's not the case because this would mean that there's a political agenda behind this and people higher up knew about it.
