RBY Gym Leader [51 or 55]

This song seems to be extremely difficult in comparison to other songs in its difficulty. The song has very fast 8th jumpstreams and is just extremely fast in general. I compare this song to 2008, also a 51, and find 2008 to be much easier. I find the repeating switches between step and jump (like section where it's up then down/right for several measures) and in general the jumpstreams just seem unorthodox. It is also rather fast at 200bpm. I believe this file should be rated higher. I hope more people share this view, but if I am alone on this I trust your judgment.

But, 55 may be a bit of a stretch, I think 53 would fit nicely.

I actually think 51 fits, with a slight possibility of bumping it up to a 52. I remember thinking for a long time that there was no way it was a 51, but when I played it recently, I AAAed it first try. It's the hardest 51 in my opinion, but it could still stay there.

I would say this song is VC because of the jumptrills. Being long and mostly easy doesn't make the hard part go away. It's a VC or close to it. Although I don't know where those start. I would be fine with 54. It's clearly harder than stuff like Megane De Ne and Dokudenpa but it's clearly not Over The Frail Dream or Animus. I vote for 54.

Then again, I tend to rate things based on AAA difficulty. Just playing it is nowhere NEAR a 55 like {Rose}.

The song itself doesn't feel unreasonably tough, but personally, I found it extremely difficult to AAA. When I got it, it was one of the last few songs remaining for me in that difficulty range.

God this song was impossible for me not to split on for the longest time. I always wondered why it was rated so low.

Definitely 55 for me. Jumptrills are absurd, and I remember being a very weak player and struggling REALLY hard to FC that. Rose wasn't nearly as bad. And even today I find rose way easier considering how easy it is to split or go off timing.

I had to play it again to get a good feel for it, and one thing is for certain: 51 certainly is not the right rating for this. The pattern choices are incredibly abrasive, split-heavy, and there is a very large presence of jump-chains which increase the difficulty to avoid boos. To make matters worse, the song is also somewhat fast paced.

I could see this at 53, maybe 54.

Sorry to gravedig a bit, but I felt like posting. I always had trouble with this song, even with one hand where splitting wasn't an issue and jumpchaining wasn't too tough, because of the speed. Right now I have even more trouble because I can't do two-hand jumps well yet (especially [13]2[13] patterns). Judging by some of my other ranks, I think 53 would be a decent rating, if not higher.

It's full of xandertrax patterns so definitely not a 51, but VC is too high for it I think. Agreeing with the consensus that 53/54 feels right; of those, I'd say 53 is a closer fit - it feels more Rondo Alla Turca/HELLBEAT v2 than Scavenger/The Little Mermaid.

I've always wondered why this and can-can were the hardest songs by far in their difficulties (50 and 51). Glad I'm not alone on this.

Def feels like a 53-54 to me, however; I've done some 60s that feel easier.
