IT'S NOT A BAD THING!
Either you get a preview of something I'm working on every couple of days or you get a full track like once a month maybe like everyone else, a full track you might not like nearly as much as a demo of mine you didn't get to hear cause I only upload full tracks. Now that I'm here I feel obliged to say something about the track: Do you focus much on panning when you produce your tracks? While all your sounds sound full to an extent, I think it would greatly enhance your sound if you looked into something like a stereo enhancer or a dimension expander or something of the sort. It also helps to pan some of your percussion one way, so long as you keep things somewhat balanced, like keep one of your hihats like 45% left and the other at 45% right. All in all, a very good remix. It's very nostalgic to listen to music like this since it's this stuff that got me into the whole electronic music thing! EDIT: Also Carlos, I'm working on coming up with a new name that is a lot more marketable than Milla. When that happens I'm gonna make a new soundcloud that is a lot more cleaned up and only has full tracks/previews of full released tracks on it. I'll still keep Milla around for my demos though. On a different note, I posted a WIP for a later part of the song - it would be cool if people checked that out too. http://soundcloud.com/assertivefluttershy/wip-v2-zedd-spectrum-assertive |

![]() As always, really impressive production. What's the original song, by the way? It feels like I've heard it somewhere before.

![]() I can pick out two things out of the first listen though that I think need to be done for the finished product.
First, as midnight said, panning is important. There are multiple ways to go around enhancing your audio depth. You can duplicate the sound and pan each a bit to either side like what was stated above, or my personal favorite (And it all depends on what sound you're going for, this obviously will not work for everybody or every track): - Compress the sample, bumping up the DB if necessary. - Add a chorus effect. Chorus effects will automatically do WONDERS for depth, and if you're experienced with chorus effects and VST's, you'll be able to do a lot more with the depth, let alone the sound of the sample. Secondly, I feel as if your percussion samples are a bit weak. The snare-ish clap-ish sample, primarily. You can either download different samples or you can fix them up by: - Layering them, - Compressing them, - THEN EQing them. This will allow for more crisp sampling, even if you were dealing with shit samples. _ _ _ _ _ With that said, I like the track a lot. This WIP is coming along nicely, and I'd love to hear the finished product. I hope you don't take anything I said as if it was negative criticism - it wasn't at all. :P. I only say this because I know how WIP's can be. You go posting the WIP and asking for opinions and all you get are responses of things that you know need to be done already because it's not even a mixed / mastered track yet. Haha. ![]() Shreddie Mercury won the contest too, probably one of my favorite electro house producers. Cool mix though, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
