Default is this considered cheating?

not too long ago i saw someone who hit 100,000 notes and had 60,000 boos. He was obviously button mashing some really hard songs. Is that considered cheating? cause technically your not playing your just randomly pressing buttons as fast as you can.

No, it is not cheating. You will never get good scores that way.

No song in FFR has 100,000 arrows. Boos actually increase the combo counter on the front page.
To answer your question, mashing -while not encouraged- is not considered cheating.

Raw scoring all the way. Don't mash your scores. Take pride in what you can do and improve on what you can't.

100,000 notes and 60,000 boos?

Sounds like Whimper Wall quadholding.
