Phantasy Star Online 2

Is anyone else as anxious to play this game as I am? I've been waiting for so many years to play a true sequel to PSO. The amount of time I put into the original on the gamecube is absurd so I have to play this game already.

What kind of characters are you guys going to make? If possible I want to make a quick melee type character or something as close to a rogue as possible.

Holy shit, I loved PSO on GC, I loved PSO on schtserv, and I'm going to fucen love PSO2 because it's PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 1 WITH BETTER GRAPHICS, BETTER COMBAT, AND JUMPING.

I'll likely be playing this when it comes out myself. Not sure what type of character I'll play though, I tend to only play casters or ranged dps.

I'm pretty sure it is currently in beta over in Japan. It shouldn't take to much longer to be released in the US once it is released in Japan. Everywhere I look when trying to find a release date just says it's being pushed back. However there's tons of articles about it in english so I'm pretty sure they are doing an english release.

Yeah they're doing a english release and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be released late this year (Q3 or Q4).

Now if only Sega will get a SoA 2 started....

ok I was wrong, apparently it's slotted to be japan only but holy shit if sega doesn't realize how many english-speaking people want to play this then there is something wrong with them.

It's still in alpha, last I heard. If anything, it'll come out in Japan late this year and then they'll spend another year localizing the client for the US.

And they'd have to buy server space as well. Don't know about you, but I don't want to be fighting bosses with the ping from US to Japan.
