Question Arrow SetUps

Iv recently been searching for a nice and comfortable way to set up my arrow commands* on a lap top keyboard...I play one handed** Im now currently trying L=h U=i D=o R=' (Noobs seek Legend) If this seems a little mad or too primitive I would love some discussion on preference.

- Legend-
L=Left U=Up D=Down R=Right
* Game-Settings-Arrows
** Vs Two Handed Arrow Tappers

You're best choice is to choose whatever feels best for you.

Seeing as you play one handed, you're maximum skill level will be restricted despite whatever setup you use.

It won't be a problem unless you plan to AAA high level songs in the long run. You can still be a very good one handed player, there isn't many of those around.

My vote is my prominent set up.

I dabble with Split, One Handed, and Index as well as standard Spread.

if you want to stay one-handed, try flat one-handed where all the keys are in a row like fghj

Instead of posting multiple times in a row, please edit your post instead.

My key setup is AS[], 1.85 or 1.95 speed mod depending on the song or day.

Check out IzzySM on youtube.

I'm just one of those dime-a-dozen spread players (setup: m,./) at 2.1 speed. That's around the fastest you can comfortably get and still read the patterns; most of the best play in the 1.75-2 range.

Also, if you like one-handed play something like 4/down/8/6 (on the numpad.) I hear it really helps.

Thats really cool..it all depends with speed w me. Plus how much lag. Easy Fc songs i speed up.
OH I love it...4/0/8/6..? Be right back. I use my thumb witch is a little difficult to get used to..Iv always used pinky. (which i know sucks..but i was giving it a chance)

When I tried 1handed I always used B J K L to account for the curve of your hand.

Unless you're using your pinky instead of your thumb? idk about that lol

I use the the default setup(Arrow Keys).
And I play with one finger only(Right Index).
I've only been able to sdg 25's on DF's engine with my one finger playing.
Though, I plan to become the greatest one finger player of all time.

If you use keys close together like TYGH you can hit jumps and hands with 1 finger no problem on Stepmania. You'll get a ton of Boos on FFR tho :/

Well, if you have fingers as fat as mine :P

Yeah, i've tried all sorts of setups.
But I don't wanna be sliding my finger around in sm. I wanna be precise and controlled for ffr.
