Need help with a Non-working Extreme Cab
(First, I have no idea where in these forums this should go, so I posted it here. sorry if there's a better spot for it.
Crossposted from BMS) My Friend owns A Japanese Extreme machine and for whatever reason it no longer boots up in a manner that suggest that it isnt getting any power. We believe that the power adapter is fryed (or whatever you call that. That GIANT power terminal in the botton of the machine) My friend tried pulling that out and seeing if it would work by itself and the thing ended up sparking.... If anyone has any tips on getting this thing to work, that'll be awesome. Of course, getting another adapter is probably the only choice, in which case does anyone know where we can get a good one? I'm lost when it comes to DDR parts and we dont want to trust our money to any site that google picks out. Thanks guys |

Re: Need help with a Non-working Extreme Cab
I'm no expert on ddr machines but I'd assume the hardware would be run by standard computer parts. Maybe just a high wattage PC power supply could do it. Although buying a 1000 watt power supply is going to be in $100-$200. It could possibly run on a lower watt psu, but I feel like those flashing lights would be power intensive.

Thanks Izzy I'll have to check on that. I dont know if those would be compatable (I remember hearing that the older DDR's ran on some pretty low watts) but there isnt any harm in checking numbers and seeing what's up.
