Cigarette Packing?!!

If this may be a topic in which is too mature for these forums feel free to lock but in the case that it's not I would like to discuss.

Does anyone find an actual real reason for smokers packing their "tobacco"? I know they say there is some beneficial effect like saying it makes the cigarette last longer but to be honest I think it looks silly.

Anyways just thought I would throw that one out there because my sister just opened up a new pack and she was doing the same thing. I kind of laughed inside because she looked so serious doing it lmao.

i always pack my cigarettes 8 times on the top then two times on each side alternating after each hit. doesn't really make any difference in the way the cigarette smokes tho.

I have found packing the cigarettes, give's it more of a harder pull making them last longer 'cause the tobacco is tight. So, that's why I usually pack my smokes to burn slower and last longer.

If you don't pack em you end up losing tobacco out of the cigs cause it's loose. Packing them makes it tighter so when you pull the cig out the tobaccos not falling out.

Honestly I don't care too much if I pack mine or not, it's more of a contest to see which one of our friends can get the best pack though.

I personally think you get a better buzz after each drag when you pack. Plus I notice cigs that aren't packed tend to go out occasionally.

This, also there's a better cherry, they don't go out as easily.

I pack my cigarettes because when I was younger I saw an anti-smoking ad where a chimpanzee packed his cigarettes.
