What if life is one big dream? An infinite dream of dreams, if you will.
Imagine a dream being like matter; it can be broken down to a single unit (atom). What if the dreams we have have in this so called "life" that we're currently experiencing while reading this thread, is the smallest unit of "dreams" an entity of consciousness (individual people) can experience? The atom of dreams, so to speak. Of course, like atoms can be broken down into sub atomic particles, so can the smallest unit of dreams (for example, you went to sleep after reading this thread and you had a dream about dreaming). What if when we die, we wake up in another "reality", We live life through the "day" of that reality, but then we go back to sleep - we once again experience the "life" we're currently aware of at this moment, again..? What if, after a life of "dreams within dreams within dreams", we wake up, only to find out that that the life we were dreaming of dreams etc. was only a dream? What if we wake up endlessly out of dreams and there is no such thing as "reality" (from an objective standpoint) Maybe this could explain why we can't (normally) remember "past lives" because they were just dreams that we forgot about - no different than dreams you forget about in the life you live today. It's things like this that lead me to believe that I shouldn't completely rule out when people truly claim that they can remember past lives. Maybe they remembered the dream? Deep, I know. Someone oughtta make a movie out of something like this. I'm not high on any drugs or anything, just in a deep state of thought. Your thoughts? |
