fun game, figured I'd say hi on the forums now that i am an addict. I am not particularly good yet, only just having started to take on lvl 5 songs but I'm having a good time and its easy to notice when you are improving
![]() stuff i'm going to try and learn from the forums: -do people use the arrow buttons as they get more advanced? (i'm guessing... maybe?) -do people use 2 hands for the faster songs? (i'm guessing yes) -preferred style of arrows moving? -how points work -etc etc anyway, just wanted to say hi, from oHio! or if you're japanese, Ohaiyo from Ohio! |

OHAIYO!
Welcome to FFR! ![]() "do people use the arrow buttons as they get more advanced? (i'm guessing... maybe?)" - No actually, many people play spread as they get more advanced. An example: "askl" as their key setup. I use "zx86" (8 6 being num pad) because I'm strange haha :P "do people use 2 hands for the faster songs? (i'm guessing yes)" -Yes, and I suggest you start off playing with two hands! I'm glad I did ![]() "preferred style of arrows moving?" -Many people play with the Up Mod because many pro players play Stepmania, which uses "Up" as the default mod. I use "Down" because I'm strange xD "how points work" - FFR is a combo based scoring game, so to get the most points make sure you have a huge combo! Even a score with 300 goods and 0 misses, might demolish a score with all perfects but one miss (depending on where that miss is). There is more to say here, but because I'm not sure what you are really asking here, I'll leave it to that for now ![]() If you have any questions, let me know! Enjoy your stay at FFR and have fun! ![]() |

Welcome to FFR.
![]() I use my index fingers on the arrow keys, but I'm trying to get used to AS KL spread setup as it's better for playing FFR songs (especially harder ones) XD. (2 hands yes) I prefer my arrows up, just as I've played that way for so long haha. Not 100% sure how points work, I wrote it down somewhere but I dun remember XD. Credits buy songs and can be traded along with betted in challenges . . Again, welcome to FFR- hope you stick around.
