Default How can something so beautiful at first...

...go sour as soon as you make a serious commitment?
Seriously, I have /never/ AAAed that first stream before, and to carry the PFC past 500 was quite a feat indeed. Then, as proof that I can't have nice things, I bombed the second half. I need to carry a 700 combo to have any shot at getting my rank up on that song these days. >_<

Anyway, on to a few of my other scores that I got when I grew frustrated with trying to FC Dragon's Bane with its goddamn 12th jump-chain/24th roll ending. (If you thought I hated hi19 before when he put that jacky Blaze Heatnix on Resonance...)

Falcon PAWNCH! Looks like I still have a fair amount of burst PA...it's the long stuff like VB, Air and Monstrous Turtles I can't handle anymore.

It's not the stream I mind so much as the jump burst/32nd roll bit around the 250 mark.

Seriously, what. I had a 2-0-2-0 run before this (whiffed on the last jump), then I tried moving my right hand to the number pad. Got the FC first try with that setup, but my accuracy was all over the place, so I moved it back to the arrow keys after that. This was the result.

And finally, my longest AAA to date (previous best was Work, also a Very Difficult, but with 808 notes). Jitters didn't BEGIN to describe my feelings after coming out of that last stream...I was blinking like mad in the break at around 960, then got lucky and hit that one arrow in the gap before batting down the hatches and hitting the rest.

Do you lag?
Are you really comfortable with x2.0 speed? It seems slightly fast for those files and i don't see the need of x2.0 until you're trying to read high FMOs-FGOs but that's just an opinion.

You can definitely AAA Yoshi's Cookie if you keep trying.

But, yeah.. just ask yourself this question. What's making you hit those goods?

I'm just saying this because i clearly don't see any average-miss-boos which means that you have a good control of the files and PA timing is not horribly evil (it's not longer x1.0 era and speedmods makes hitting perfs a lot easier) so, if something is going wrong it means that there's a reason.

Nice Twilight Techno btw.

Haku: It's because since day 1 (which was over 6 years ago...mind = blown), I've played spread on the arrow keys instead of going to an ASKL setup like all the cool kids. As a result, jump chains above maybe 7 per second piss in my face, and the ending of Dragon's Bane works out to 8.5. (So no, I'm not going to be able to fix that BF for a really long time.)

Yes, x2.0 helps with reading fast stuff like the 24ths in Mute City. 90% of the time, however, when jumps or long trills are involved it's a classic case of "I know how to do it, I just can't do it". Balloon Fever at 370 and Melted Marble at 415 are notorious for blowing my FC attempts more often than not (how fast is the BPM of the former, anyway? I have to work to stay on top of the end stream, so it's gotta be above 180).

2x for non FMO/FGO songs make it hard for me to read the songs. ;_;
Nice stuff here.

Unrelated: I am this damn close to getting Heavy. My best chance with this is probably either this one or AAA, both of which I have 2 goods on. I'm guessing I'll get it--assuming I ever do--with the latter because of its lower note count and slower BPM, but given how my first FMO FC turned out to be Lawn Wake 4 instead of Silence or DSoK (LW4 has since been kicked downstairs to VC, as has Silence), who knows?
