So...anyone feel like posting some good deals they've got on games recently. Don't forget to which store/site/garage sale you got the games/hardware from. I'd be especially interested about anything PS2 related, since I'm shopping around for one right now. I woulda bought one sooner, but I'm too cheap
I'll start off with....... NBA 2K(DC)-$1.99 from Gamestop Shenmue(DC)-$7.99 also from Gamestop Quote:

A local game store had FF7 for 15.00, so I bought it.

Shenmue is so awesome. Every 3D fighting game should aspire to be like Shenmue.
I'm pretty sure you can get Wario Ware In.c: Mega Party Game$ for $20 |

Gamestop is the worst! Every time I try to steal something from them, it's always just a box! (joking)
The best deals are emulators(I originally got them from Deathcat.org but that site has not had roms for almost a year now), just delete the files after 12 hours or something and you're just fine. It's better then paying $70 for ogre battle for SNES, and some people think that FF3(or 6 depending on who you talk to) is woth over $100. Plus if you want, you can get the roms of your older games for your SNES and NES so that you can play those games without having to pull out the old console or maybe it doesn't work anymore. If that doesn't work, try to see if your neighborhood hosts a neighborhood wide yard sale and try then. PS2's on the cheap? Some people are trying to sell their PS2's after they stopped reading discs. If you can find the quick fix to this problem you can get one really cheap! ...And people are gonna knife me for liking emulators...now!

I've gotten so pretty good deals over the years:
Steel Battalion (Xbox) $179.99 Game Stop Pretty good considering it was going for over $600 on Ebay (this was before the re-release came out). Valkarie Profile (PS) $9.99 Target Really good considering it goes for $35.99 USED at Game Stop. New PS2 $Free Game Stop Managed to trade in over $300 worth of old junk to GS. New Xbox $99.58 Used the rest of the above mentioned cash. IIDX controller, 3rd, 5th, & 6th Style $190 Online Extremely good deal I got off of someone who was getting out of the game.

Amazingly enough, eBay can get you some good stuff if you know where to look. I got the Half-Life platinum pack for $15 (normally $30), UT2004 for $20 (Normally $50 at Best Buy), DDRMAX with 2 pads for $60...
Amazon.com is good as well. |

This wasn't extremely recent, but fallout + fallout 2 for 10 bucks at fred meyers. And it was the only strategy rpg series I could ever enjoy. And, seriously, 10 bucks for two fairly long games with replay value is a tremendous deal. But if you're one of those people who judges games solely on graphics, don't buy it, and instead spend your money on a gun so you can kill yourself for being a shallow bastard : )
