![]() I didn't get to take a picture with him but I got one of him. Destroyed Justin Wong in a best to 10. 10-2. It was brutal.
I'm not into fighting games at all but it was pretty awesome to watch. Before the fight I went outside with my friend and hotboxed his car and then played an hour of pokemon with strangers in the building. It was beautiful. ITT: vidya vidya vidya vidya vidya Q |

![]() Daigo's pretty cool. I hear he gets wasted at every EVO competition he attends that he doesn't fight in. Not that he probably couldn't win wasted.

![]() I think J Wong's cursed for life to lose horribly against Daigo after the EVO 3rd Strike "WTG Justin" incident.

![]() I don't know much about fighting games...but isn't Daigo that dude who like...made a mega-comeback against some other dude by blocking an entire ultra combo (or however you call it)?
That dude's insane, and a legend. Good job meeting him Last edited by A2P; 10-18-2009 at 11:16 AM.. |

![]() youtube "street fighter daigo parry"
For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Daigo had a sliver of health left. Blocking only prevents damage, but you still take some. Wong used Chun Li's ultra combo which is a large series of very fast hits that would all kill him. Daigo's only choice was to parry, which prevents all damage but needs to be perfectly timed against each hit. Well, he perfectly timed every parry and then combod him back for the win. It's typically regarded as the biggest omg moment in fighting game competition.

People practice parries all the time, so people learned how to perfect parry most supers in SF3 type mechanics. You don't practice going 1v3 with Cyclops against a mostly healthy MSP.

![]() I just want you guys to know, that that particular finish has ZERO frames. So in order to parry it perfectly, Daigo had to press FORWARD before starting the parries. If you know anything about fighting games, then take that little bit of information into account. It's disgusting.
EDIT:None of the videos posted compare to what he did. Last edited by korny; 10-18-2009 at 05:49 PM.. |
