Default The Future

Let's storm up some ideas for the future.

1 awesome, well thought out idea per post..

portable 3D- holographic interfaces for controlling everything.
It'd be really small.

house stuff, tv, driving your car, changing songs, playing games.

it would project the controlling device you needed. Like project a ddr pad on the floor. and then communicate what you're doing on it to the playstation through some wireless something.

Time warping machine

Warp time especially around space ships to go at a faster speed, that was 1000 year trips (in suspended animation) will go by in 1 year real time. This would allow for rapid colonization of the universe. However, it also has other uses including fast time research stations on planets to develop technologies faster. The good thing is that these would have to be limited and based with a real time facilities, otherwise they would burn out just as quickly due to the too-small internal system of support. Overall very useful and in general hard to pervert into a weapon or political tool.

Better forums. Completely reformatted in a way where it is easy and convenient to read everyone's posts. And perhaps it should be maintained automatically too.

no more game controllers, just mind reading halos. stick one on and imagine ur character running and it runs. imagine it doing some cool dodging spin slash move and it does it. that way u have ultimate control of everything. would make MMORPGs and the Sims a whole lot cooler.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Final Fantasy C (100)

And I'd love to be able to inject a book into my brain ala the matrix.

Time travel is too messed up, too much paradox stuff, Teleportation would be a lot more useful, prolly not that safe, but still it'd be cool as hell.

I'm tempted to make a dirty flirtatious comment towards Jam.

The virtual reality RPG thing is an awsome idea I think.

But one thing that I'd like to see in the future is an anti-matter reactor. It would replace nuclear power, hydronic power, and wind. But, the wind one is a good idea, and so is the water one, so just nuclear.
It would be more powerful, and the supply would last longer then nuclear would. I'm not sure how toxic it would be though...

Control yourself Laharl, you're mormon.

I want a kind of hovering car.

Genetically altered pets that would be made to be fairly intelligent and helpful in real life.

A way to enlarge your penis size that really works.

That's why Jello can't wait until the future.

As a comment for the anti- matter. See the prefix "anti" It means opposite. Opposite things cancel out most of the time. If there's a problem, It could be pretty bad. Sorry for being rude.

I'd love to see, since I just can't drop it, faster than light travel/communication. I can't wait to get off this dying planet and kill the next one.

Oh, how about rooms painlessly, and instantly, simulating low-gravity without fans.

But at least I'd be constraining myself to flirting with a Mormon girl. :P

I personally don't see that happening. For one, it'd consume all sorts of fuel to mainain flight. The sort of gravity propulsion (sp?) stuff in sci-fi can't ever really happen, nor work. Also, traffic would simply be... indescribable. How would it even work? Parking lots would be literally insane, accidents would occur right and left, and laws to govern such a think would be next to impossible to institute.

But yeah, that would be extremely cool.

About the fuel thing: I think Hydrogen fuel cells could do it. I mean come on... it's friggin HYDROGEN for Pete's sake!

About the driving: Maybe you could have every hover car controlled by a network and every car would have to be part of that network to function. There'd be no driver. You'd get in and tell it where to go, and it'd take you there. And, since they're all on the network, they'd be able to easily avoid each other.

Pedestrians would be the problem... I say kill em.

just kidding... or am I?
