Default Frustrated

ok, i am about 2 days new. i like FFR, but don't care much for SM. Here's why:

It is currently 12:27 A.M, i just spent the last hour and a half getting songs onto SM. i follow the instructions that are posted, and boom, i fire up SM, and the songs disappear . now, my shoulders ache from the stress, anger, and just plain stupidity of the event. plz, if u hav anything that will help, tell me seeing as i really, really want to play SM, even though i dont hav a dance pad (but that will change soon!).

Thanx,
Yoshefriedman2 aka Jew MAster Flex <----- Gangsta name lol

All I can tell you is to dl one song at a time and follow what the sticky's tell you to do when putting songs in sm. Other than that sm is one bada$$ program!

well, you have to put the songs in the songs folder, you should also know that they hhave to be in two folder from their. EXAMPLE: c:/Stepmainia/Songs/Songs_From_DDRMAX2/DreamADream

if that does not work then get a better SM.

Well it's easy to explain really. Go to the step mania program folder. Then click on songs. From their, Make folders for the categories for songs. Then click on the category folder and make as many folders as songs that you'll be placing in that category. You don't have to name each folder for each song. Then go to the songs you downloaded and unzip one. Once unziped, Highlight all the stuff that's in there, and drag and drop it into a folder inside the categories folder. Boom, you're done. You win over all

Notes:
1. Only one song may be placed in a folder. Don't put multiple songs in one.
2. If you find any "readme" files when you unzip a song, delet them.
3. I suggest you start by making only one category to start with, then make as many folders inside it as you have songs, and stick the uziped files of the song in each folder inside the category.
4. Once you get the hang of it, you'll start to breeze through it. Very simple.

Hope that hellps.

I've had a few problems with similar things. If what they said isn't it, I say go into options and choose reload songs and courses (I think that's what it says; it's about two from the bottom).

Man i love how Stepmania keeps the simpletons away by requiring even a slight amount of computer knowledge to get up and running. :P
