I need some truly hard games to beat

I've been playing and beating the hardest old school games that nintendo has to offer. The NES in particular has some painfully difficult games, but after beating ghosts n' goblins the other day, I'm beginning to wonder if there's a game I cannot beat. I'm only looking to beat old school nintendo games so all systems up to the 64. If there are any games you feel are near impossible then I'd be very grateful if you could share them. I only play old school games anyway, I just need some new games to challenge my skillz and pass the time.

SNES: Super Ghosts N Ghouls, Actraiser 2, Earthworm Jim, some of the Star Wars games, Batman Forever

Haven't played silver surfer, actraiser, super ghosts and ghouls, and the genesis games but I've beaten everything else you mentioned. The list of hard games I've beaten are on my profile, but being on a wii for internet is annoying for typing so I didn't bother to type them alk out. Also, wasn't superman 64 a godawful game? I do remember playing it back in the day.

Here are the games I've beaten that I thought were difficult. Batman, Earthworm Jim, and the Star wars games were challenging, but not quite as hard as these.

NES Games
The Battletoad series.
The Double Dragon series. (Sacred stones bitches)
The Mega man series without continues.
TMNT Series
Contra
Burger Time
Bubble Bobble (maybe died twice)
Punch-out!! (Perfect damage)
Top Gun
Ghosts N' Goblins

SNES
Battletoads series.Yes I can beat battlemaniacs I'm just that cool.
Double dragon series.
Contra III
The gradius series
R-type series no continues
Zombies ate my neighbors
Mario and the lost levels no lives lost.
Super punchout perfect damage
Hyper Zone (no enemy damage)

i own Superman 64.... it's... easily top3 worst games of all time. and definitely #1 worst game on the N64.

edit: that is awesome that you beat Burger TIme. one of those classics from my childhood.

Burger Time is easily one of the hardest games to beat for the NES. Surprising enough, many people have never even heard of it.

yeah your right, never heard of burger time. Super man 64 isn't even worth giving a try. It's worse then terrible....

Burger Time is a classic NES game and it's objective being you must complete the ingredients to your burger while avoiding other food item enemies such as mr. egg and mr. ketchup. It gets crazy hard towards the end.

Virtual bart is not hard bro. Barts nightmare is harder than virtual bart and I can A+ it everytime.

Also, supposedly silver surfer is the hardest nes or def one of the hardest but it's not on the wii shop. I just might have to buy it.

Can't use controllers when using emulators. Controllers are a must.

Another thought... if you're not getting a challenge from beating games, why not go for speedrunning? Try besting some of the stuff on SDA or working on a game not on their list. Solid community too.
