...sort of. x3 I can do a song like Libertine all right, but with trickier standards I still really suck.

I've been playing for around 2 weeks now. I've played 484 times (yep, I'm an addict) and my rank is like 87,165 at the time of this posting. I feel like I've come sort kinda far.

Anyone have any idea about what rank I'm actually going to start having to fight and not be climbing tens of thousands of ranks a day?

once your under 5000 it starts going slower.

EDIT: Overall rank is a piece of crap anyway, only noobs use it for skill basing.

oh yeah and after 2 years, im at 15,662 games played, with an overall of 264
but those stats don't mean anything :3

The jump from rank 2K to 1K is about 2.5 billion points, if that's any indication

Don't play on x3 lol. Play on x1.75 or so. You'll do real bad with x3 once you get higher levels. (I hope by x3 you're talking about speed mods lmao) But yeah, at my rank (155) I get about 1-2 ranks a day if I play a lot. (A lot meaning 100m - 150m score). I remember the other day I got around 200m in one day & didn't even get one rank. It starts getting hard around rank 1000, even then it's not that bad. You should definitely go by average rank though, no one really looks at overall rank. :/

I actually do play at "times three" speed. [= I was thinking about upping it to 1.75 after a while, but so far I haven't found it 100% necessary. I appreciate the tip though.

3x is way too fast imho; go for 2x or slightly above 2x at most

Welcome to ffr. But yea like a couple people stated you don't really want to go off your overall rank that's just how many points you've accumulated playing. What you want to look at is your average rank which is based on your scores on songs. As per 484 in two weeks well a lot of people play 100 plus in a day. click on the stats button (its over by the play button) and you can see who has the most game plays and such for the day.

honestly, i would work on speeds from 1.5-2.0
it will be helpful once your skill is up to being able to handle FMO and FGO songs.
and about 500 games in 2 weeks, so you'll get about 25K in a year yayayayayayay
