Default Pros and cons of eternal life

I stumbled upon this digg article, but the people that responded didn't say a whole lot.

http://digg.com/health/Do_you_really...5487#c26946750

Of course, one obvious advantage of an anti-aging formula is a longer life span, but is it desirable? I also read a book called Night Road from A.M. Jenkins, and hemovores (people that feed exclusively on blood) could live an eternal life, but throughout that time they see many old friends and family die.

Opinions, please!

Critical Thinking?

Speaking of eternal...Eternal Moonwalk.

/offtopic

Advantages: Never die. Keep your looks (if you look good). Date people you wouldn't be able to when you're too old.

Disadvantages: See friends and family die. Don't age with someone you [eventually] have a relationship with. Commit suicide when you're bored with living.

Pro's: See the world change like no one else has, be able to tell people you're hundreds of years old.

Con's: Be bored of everything.

I too fear death, but to be immortal would be just as scary of a thought. How to find a purpose for living anymore when you have for a googleplex, to the power of a googleplex years, and that not even being a fraction of time you have left to live.

Pros: its fun, you supposedly get everything you wish for, at least from what ive seen in the movies

Cons: gets boring after a while, makes you want a second chance at life, no real challenges

Cons:
If you have finite memory, you're doomed to repeat yourself over and over again.
If you have infinite memory, you will eventually do everything physically possible in the universe and get BORED.

What the hell is wrong with people?
Would you rather stop existing FOREVER?
Or live forever and make constant impacts on everything.

Pro: It would be like being put in time-out forever. (as in, when we do wrong as children, we are sometimes isolated and told to think about our actions) The reason this is a pro is that you'd be given so much time to think about stuff that your understanding of the world would go far beyond concepts developed by anyone else; no one would ever have enough time to understand the things you would understand. So you'd be so brilliant due to your very nearly infinite amount of experience.

Con: You would go crazy. Not many of us are very patient when it comes to waiting millions of years for certain actions of unfold. (after all, many of us are already impatient when a person in a car in front of us takes more than 2 seconds to recognize a green light)
